mini-pc recommendations for Allstar / Dial

Hello, I am brand new to this list and Allstar (although I have been using Asterisk for well over a decade). I would like to run three URIs off of one PC running Dial. The PC will also communicate with at least three RTCMs at other locations. I ASSuME, based on this requirement, that a mini-PC would be the best platform (and not a Rasberry Pi or other ARM based processor). Please correct me if this is wrong (as I'd love to get away with a super low power $35 computer). What mini-PC platforms have people successfully used (IOW, what mini-PCs would you suggest I look into)? I'd like something relatively inexpensive, low power, and with no moving parts (for a difficult to reach remote location at high elevation). I've been looking into the Qotom mini-PCs, however, many of them seem to be based on the J1900, and I have heard that the Intel "Bay Trail" processors (of which the J1900 is one) have some clock issues due to a conflict with the (Debian) kernel being used in the Dial/Allstar project. I don't know if newer releases of the processor have fixed this, or if it applies to every single Bay Trail processor ever produced. Perhaps someone can expound on this for me, as well. Thank you! No Receive Audio Since Dial Swithover

Hey Gang. First, I have no idea of where to start looking so this is why I'm asking this. Second, I know this has probably been solved through the group here so forgive me since I hadn’t checked this email in some time. I was recently upgraded to the DIAL distro of allstar and I am using the same usbradio.conf file I used under ACID. Now, I do not have any receive (inbound) audio but I do have transmit (outbound) audio. Is there some new mixer settings that has been added to DIAL or new parameters I need to configure? Sorry strike what I said in the last email. If the raspberry pi is setup for dhcp then the pi would only get one IP address. So look at the pi ifconfig see if it does has two addresses. New router problem?

I bought a new Netgear router because the older one had problems. The new Netgear R6220 assigns an IP address to my wired R Pi node, but I also assigned a static IP. Both of these internal IP addresses are "pingable". I want delete the DHCP assigned address. I think this is causing a problem. Any suggestions? Cheers - 73 Bill KB9WKR Sent from my iPad

I have a need to temporarily disable the repeater, then enable it. Timing is critical, so a delay is undesirable. What is the best way to accomplish this? I will be logged into the node. Thanks, Bob Sent from my iPhone

DIAL firsttime questions

I'm not familiar with "Domain Name" and FQDN when running firsttime. Is the DN the IP address of my router, and the FQDN the RPi IP address? Thanks, Bob

Speed Tests via command line

Hello I just realized that the speed test script i use has been changed up a little bit I figured I would post the new information on how to test your speed test via command line..
