Good Day! The RF gear audio levels are set by "Radio Tune". The EchoLink is set with erxgain and etxgain in rpt.conf (although I'm not a 100% sure if erxgain is inbound to the server (rx from echolink) or outbound from the server (rx from server)). But, where do you set the IAX link gains? There is "linkmongain", I think for inbound to the server, but does it only apply to "*2" monitor, or "*3", permanent connection. Can you tweak up the server output to IAX links? Thanks, ...STeve

RTCM RPT.Conf Setup

Well I finally got around to playing with the RTCM I purchased and I can't seem to get it to connect to the host. I am currently playing with it on the bench inside its own closed network. I can communicate with the RTCM and the Host with no issues. I compiled the chan_voter shows it is loaded and running in asterisk with a usage count of 1. I double checked the settings in my RTCM and voter.conf file and I can't see what I may have done wrong. I think my issue possibly resides in the rpt.conf file. I have it set to rxchannel = Voter/my_node_number in rpt.conf which i believe is correct. I have found plenty of examples of the voter.conf file but I haven't found any of the rpt.conf file for use with the the RTCM. I was wondering if anyone with a working RTCM installation could share their settings so I can do a stare-and-compare. One other thing I did to test to see if my RTCM was working was I ran the command in asterisk CLI: rpt fun my_node_number *81 to see if it would key up the RTCM and play over the air which it didn't. It showed in the CLI: -- <DAHDI/pseudo-377565170> Playing 'rpt/goodafternoon' (language 'en') I would assume if things were working correctly it should say Voter/my_node_number instead of DAHDI/pseudo. Gm300 have to set the rxondelay very high

If I use software PL/CSQ decoding, I was getting reports of something coming back from the node after they unkey. Turning RXondelay up to about 6 (6 increments of 25ms) it worked great until I tuned to the bottom of the 2-meter band and I had to turn it all the way to 15 to avoid problems. It's fine unless someone quick Keyes and then I will loose the beginning of their voice. This is a simplex GM300 node, so I am guessing there is a lack of high frequency noise immediately after I unkey. What I don't get is why it is worse at the bottom end of the VHF band. I guess the VFO is sick down there and takes longer to activate? On my UHF GM300, I can get away with rxondelay set to 5 at 446.000. I haven't tested lower, but I won't be transmitting below 445.0 There is a variable inductor that I found near the receiver chip which actually improved tuning it from what I was initially getting, needing to set rxondelay all the way up to 25. (It's near the squelch pot) I am going to use COR from the radio anyway so I won't have the problem, but I was planning on modding one for 9600 baud which could never deal with the horrible TX/RX switching time that I am getting. Any experience with this issue here? Also, It's annoying that I have to run rxondelay, I wish it could just ignore the receiver immediately after the transmitter drops, no other time. 40 channel remote base GM300!

I managed to steer to any of the 40 GM300 channels with AllStar link and custom scripts. I am going to deploy this 40 channel VHF remote and a 20 channel UHF on a mountaintop with a wireless internet service provider. Binary select only lets me get to 16 channels, so my method controls the front panel directly. It's been a pretty fun project, but it has been a pain messing with the event handler in Allstar to get everything to work properly. Due to limitations, I had to set up the base as a standard node and write customizations for user log in to enable the transmitter. Here is the video https://youtu.be/ZY9pfy5F4hw 73 Skyler KDØWHB

Im curious why you didn't use two URIx's which can address the gm300 programmable channel steering lines directly with user functions to control all 40 channels. (no buffering required) Works good. DIAL Distro for Beagle xM

Fan control?

Hi guys, I'm running a pair of UHF CDM1550's in full duplex with one of the new Repeater Builder Rim "lite" RM interfaces: http://www.repeater-builder.com/products/usb-rim-lite.html It does not look like I can tap the GPIO's very easily on these boards, nor can I tell if GPIO 5-8 is available for general use looking at the schematic: http://www.repeater-builder.com/products/pdfs/RB_RIM_Max.pdf What I'd like to do is drive a relay board to switch a fan on if the receiver is active or there is traffic coming in to the node, being connected to another station or hub for example. I read over the GPIO and event management subsystem documentation, and it looks like that's what I need, but I don't have a parallel port nor can I tap the GPIO's on my interface easily (or even know if they can be used as per the above). Looking for ideas here if anyone else has encountered this, would prefer the logic/relay board approach vs. say a temperature controlled switch on the heatsink or something. 73 Stephen K1LNX

Allmon2 Giving login Failed

I have gone through every thing that I can think of, (allmon.ini.php and manager.conf) confirmed that there is exactly the same password, sand also did the htpassswd file. Still am unable to log into allmon2 on the GUI. I am up for ideas. Help? Keri KB0YNA
