It's a bit tricky finding out what Tait gear will convert to the 6M band. There are LOADS of really great articles on converting a GM300 to 6M. That looks just too easy. Steve

connection timeout timer

I have an IRLP node and an Allstar node. I'm afraid I'm not very knowledgeable on either. It seems that in the IRLP world it's customary (and considered good etiquette) to have a fairly short (like 20 minute) connection timeout timer. No activity from your node within 20 minutes and the connection will drop. I guess they expect if you're going to dial up a node/reflector that you're going to be making a contact, not just listening. I've read the policy on at least one reflector that says they will ban you for circumventing the connection timeout. Is this also standard in the Allstar world? I don't believe my node times out at all. And I tend to favor camping out on various hubs just to listen. But I want to follow whatever the best practice is. Thanks for your help.

What happened to last key/unkey

I liked the feature on stats.allstarlink.org which showed the last unkey/key. I used a little script that someone made to sort it by the last keyup, so I could see which nodes were talking. Dual PL tones - one for local and one for link

Hello All, I am wanting to configure my node to have two PL tones where when one is used for local communications and the other goes out the link. I know some people were able to get it working and I was wondering if I can get some help. I remember that I could add the other PL tones separated by a comma. From what I understood, the first PL will send the audio out the link and the remaining PLs will be local. My Config: --running DIAL on a small form factor pc. ----using USBRadio ----DSP carrier and PL decode --Repeater is a Kenwood TKR-850 and configured with an open squelch to AllStar, no PL decode or encode. In my usbradio.conf txctcssdefault=100.0 rxctcssfreqs=100.0,88.5 txctcssfreqs=100.0,88.5 When I key up on either PL, the audio goes out the link. Can anyone verify this?
