Multiple App_rpt servers in Allstar network?

Hello Group, I have a question regarding multiple app_rpt servers in a private Allstar network. My question is as follows: In a voted/simulcasted Allstar network that consists of 3 interlinked sites via 5.8Ghz Ubiquiti AirGrids, is there a way to configure my node computers so that if my normal app_rpt and chan_voter server fails, one of the other sites can put a temporary server in place? This seems like a very important capability that would allow voting and simulcasting to continue after the loss of the "main" server site. Thank you! -- KJ6QFS Sam Skolfield

node not showing online

hi, i have gone round and round with allstar to get my node on line. they told me to talk with you guys. this is what happened. i was unable to get my node to show online. when i went into the allstar website portal and tried to download it showed this message Sorry, your server does not have any downloadable nodes (Register Only). the allstar people (tim) stated the system never assigned me a password for my server which is called "allstar". he then assigned me a password for it "812653" but i still get the same message when i try to initiate a download Sorry, your server does not have any downloadable nodes (Register Only). i did a cd /tmp........ and put in my call sign and the password i use to log into the allstar website and it showed it downloaded ect. seemed to work fine but my allstar node is still not showing online. i believe the problem is on the allstar end but they sent me to you. node 29581 kb1vky jeff -- All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.

Voter Question

Hopefully this will change the subject at hand... I was reading about the acid voters and had a question or more. I currently run the voting in Zipar so I am not familiar with the way the voter works in the ACID distro. I am trying to understand a few thing in ACID to help a friend. I have seen the rtcm that will act as a voting interface as well as the voting card. Can a regular acid install on a computer be used as a voter as well? If so is their any documentation for this? I know a GPS could be connected up to the computer and a radio with true discriminator audio should do the job. I am just curious if the computer with the ACID distro can also be used as a voter with the right configuration. Corey N3FE

A "turnkey" solution for Allstar

For those who just *DONT* want to (or for some reason can't) go through the process of setting up a Linux system, dealing with its administration, configuring hardware, etc., there is now a "hosted", subscription-based solution that, along with a Micro-Node International RTCM (Radio Thin Client Module) (or a generic Voter board), makes a nice "no-brainer" Allstar node installation. shortcut to link and unlink

I am trying real hard to understand the function stanza,a and been able to do a few thing.. I have dtmf test and parrot working. But I want to have some shortcut to link and unlink my 2 nodes. here is a part of my rpt.conf file for the 29534 node. 600=cop,55 601=cop,32 603=ilink,3,29540 604=ilink,1,29540 both 600 and 601 function works ok. but 603 and 604 no go. What am I doing wrong?

Asterisk and Allstar on the Raspberry Pi

I have been using the Pi for awhile on IRLP with great success. It runs without a hitch. I was curious if anyone is using or has explored the use of the Pi with Asterisk on Allstar? It seems like the requirements would be similar. I use a USB sound FOB and the standard IRLP controller board. The Pi GPIO drives the IRLP controller in place of the standard PC parallel port. I suspect the URI radio adapter or equivalent is all I would need in the way of hardware for Allstar. usb fobs lights out....

Hi All; I noticed last night that my app_rpt box with 3 fobs (the LEDs on which usually flash away), all had lights out yesterday.
