Kerchunking filter

Does Asterisk have a anti kerchunk feature. I already know about the rxondelay which is a timer for after ptt drops. Alinco/URI setup

Hello, I'm beginning the process of setting up a node with an Alinco radio and a URI. I have tried to execute the following command "radio tune rxnoise" and received the following message: "DONE tries=12, setting=1000, meas=1058, sqnoise=290 ERROR: RX INPUT ADJUST FAILED. [Oct 30 06:47:51] NOTICE[2525]: chan_iax2.c:9712 socket_process: Registration of '1999' rejected: 'Registration Refused' from: '67.215.233.178'" I'm extremely new to thjs, and would appreciate any help. No Node to Node connection on same LAN

Hey Guys, I got two AllStar boxes on the same network. Machine A is on 192.168.10.10 AllStar Port 4569 and machine B on 192.168.10.11 AllStar port 4568. I can connect from B to A but not A to B. I changed the rpt.conf file to use the 192 address for each others node number. Is there another location I need to specify the IP address? -- boB - W5EVH

Hi Jim, Ramesh, and list, I'd had Jim had a look at the Zaptel install on my RPi. As far as I can tell its working (correct me if I'm wrong here Jim?), and for the sake of the list, I'm going to try to get Jim to write up how he did it. I am particularly intrigued with what he did, I understand the outside of it, but the details are a bit lost on me. I'm just compiling Asterisk now, I've gotten to the GSM codec stage, using the instructions from: http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=56&t=4885&p=163382 Of course, why didn't I do this first? =( Lets see how we go! So I still am having trouble with this. So far I have added propagate_dtmf=yes linktolink=yes inxlat=#56,#57,0123456789ABCD outxlat=#56,#57,0123456789ABCD to the rpt.conf file on the node that has the cat200b controller attached to it. Also on both of my other nodes that are connected via the allstar system i have added propagate_dtmf=yes to there rpt.conf files. I have done a restart on all the nodes, and still not getting the dtmf to pass through. When the dtmf passes through you should be able to hear it on the output of the repeaters, right? As long as it is not started with a (*) then the node would try to act on the dtmf. The cat200b controller is in remote base weather mode, and does not require COR, or PL to act, all it is looking at is the Tx audio from the usb fob, which goes into the Rx port on the controller. So all the controller needs to hear is the DTMF audio, but its not getting there. The controllers Tx audio is connected to the Rx audio on the usb fob, and I know thats working because I hear the controller identify itself with its version when I power cycle it. I am probably doing something wrong, so hopefully someone could point me in the right direction. Thanks! That runs through a block in extensions.conf that does some loose checking if a number to dial is valid, and then presents it to pstn-out. Which, by default, btw, only plays an obnoxious congestion tone. However, numbers that are rejected will route to the "invalidnum" context which plays the "not in service" message. There are a number of predefined ones but, I would guess you are running afoul of toll free numbers, or some non-standard number which is dropping through to one of those patterns. The asterisk messages log, in /var/log/asterisk/messages , may contain details. You can also watch the console with a bit of verbosity and see what it's trying to do, and see the dialed pattern. I got this working fairly easily by just adding a SIP peer, but, there's no auth code or anything built in to prevent you from dialing out, or anyone for that matter. For the most part, autopatches are nonexistent over here so nobody knows it is there, I could see someone dialing it accidentally if they're not careful. Dialtone is played over the web transceiver if you patch from there but not the local radio, on my node anyways. The only thing that's being obnoxious is that it eats DTMF, and for whatever reason, speech seems to be recognized as DTMF sometimes which results in what sounds like choppy conversation, but, it's just that masking function.

D2700MUD and Limey...

Hi folks, I received my parts this week and started building a node. The parts I've acquired: Intel D2700MUD Motherboard: http://www.intel.com/cd/products/services/emea/eng/motherboards/desktop/D27… ARK CS-Ci02 mini-itx case: http://www.arktechinc.net/server-case/cs-ci02.html Crucial 2GB SODIMM DDR3PC3 memory The D2700 Motherboard has an embedded USB storage header on the motherboard. Rather than using a compact flash drive, I acquired some SanDisk 512MB Embedded USB Flash storage devices. (Found on eBay) Here's some documentation on that http://media.digikey.com/pdf/Data%20Sheets/M-Systems%20Inc%20PDFs/uSSD_5000… I downloaded the Limey Linux image, and used Physdiskwrite on my windows pc to write the image to the USB Flash drive. Inserted the USB flash drive on the header, and gave it a rip. You'll find pictures of the case, mobo and flash drive here. http://www.neals.ca/w3rwn Ok, so it boots... loads kernel, makes a ram disk, and runs through a long list of boot up things. It mounts the root filesystem then seems to die. VFS: Mounted root (ext2 filesystem) readonly on device 1:0 Freeing unused kernel memory: 292k freed EXT2-fs warning: checktime reached, running e2fsck reccomended There is no command prompt, so not sure what I should be doing next? Randy, why bother with Limey? When you have the hardware that you have. I have the D2800MT board and mini-itx case, power supply , SODIMM memory etc. I just grabbed a cheap 60G SSD and loaded up Debian on it. Then my Allstar server runs on the same box. It's wicked fast, but there are some issues, the sound drivers have to be built from scratch, you have to get past getting allstar to run on Debian and you have to modify the sources to run on a 2.6.35 kernel. All of this was documented on various web sites that I found. While Limey might be good if you just want to burn an image and go, I suspect that running an allstar server on a 512M USB drive is a bit restrictive. I have no fans, no spinning drivers, the MB is a 12V motherboard and I run 3 URI's and 4 RTCM's all off the same box with no issues whatsoever. Just figured I'd offer an alternative view.
