Older versions of Centos ...

Is anyone here running app_rpt under Centos 4.X? I basically looked through the phase{1,2}.sh scripts and did these things by hand, and it all sort of worked out except zt_dummy didn't compile. I made a small patch based on the dahdi version ... I haven't tried running it yet :-), but just curious if anyone else has worked this out. Thanks, /jordan KG6UAE

Autopatch

I'm going to put an autopatch on my Allstar repeater. With a conventional autopatch, the carrier stays up when the patch is in use. Is this the case with Allstar? Is it possible to use a remote node, connect to my repeater, bring up the autopatch and use it? Matt Roberts n9gmr(a)me.com

PL decode is done in the radio. You have to wire the hook switch (defeat it) someway but I did that so long ago I don't remember. Here's my simpleusb.conf as requested. I use the parallel port for IO. Hi Guys; Moved one of my boxes to a new site that uses OSPF routing. The host has allocated me with a static IP; I have my own Linksys router for firewall and port forwarding. Now the problem is that my Allstar nodes are reporting to the Allstar network with the incorrect IP address. Since that particular IP address does not have port 4569 open, my nodes do not show up on the Allstar status page. So, I'd like to try and force the IP that gets reported to the Allstar network. I was looking at the [general] stanza in the iax.conf file while looking at this reference: http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Asterisk+config+iax.conf .. but unfortunately, the 'externip' parameter can not be used in the [general] stanza. Is there any other way that will allow me to force the 'external IP'? When I use iaxRpt from my notebook and spec' the correct IP / hostname, I can connect without an issue, which confirms that port 4569 is open on the 'correct' IP address. No, not just anywhere. Stanzas are parts of an Asterisk file denoted by square brackets []. See http://ohnosec.org/drupal/node/39 So, the node stanza is the part of the rpt.conf file after [your node number] and before the next set of square brackets. Hope that helps. Parallel Port PTT in Xipar

Hi everyone, A couple of months ago I asked how to use the parallel port for PTT, I quickly found this information at http://ohnosec.org/drupal/node/177 I have now built a new PC to run my Allstar system using the Xipar version of software (build 188) but the parallel port doesn't seem to function. Can anyone confirm if the parallel port is supported in Xipar or is it just in the Acid version? I really would prefer to use Xipar as the FreePBX package is quite handy. Best Regards Carl M1ELR
