Send the request to admin(a)allstarlink.org. Include all affected node numbers and user accounts. This has to be done at the administrator level. Is it possible to transfer a Portal server and associated nodes to an other user account on the portal? If not, then I guess a new server and new node numbers will have to be created from the new account and the node numbers changed on the actual box. I would like to transfer ownership of a portal server and 2 nodes to another account. Thanks, Jon VA3RQ

WB6NI noted that there was a backup service available, but I'm not having any luck with it. GUI on server

There is a version of Asterisk with app_rpt called XIPAR that has a GUI and web interface. I have tried this, but found it to be bloated and unnecessary. It is also incompatible with the Allstarlink configuration and download function(s). In my opinion, stick with the CenTos version. All you need is PuTTY, and WinSCP for handling all editing and files tasks rather than a GUI. A command line setup uses much less processor/system/memory overhead. Just my .02

Call into repeater

I have an asterisk pbx that I've maintained for the household for a few years now. I have a separate Allstar ACID install that I run interfaced to my URI. I've set up a IAX2 trunk between the two systems in hopes of being able to call the repeater from a household pbx extension in order to monitor or talk on the link. I've been able to call the repeater with the following extensions entry: [radio-secure] exten => 1234,1,rpt,27633|x but, it just keys the radio constantly and doesn't unkey unless I hang up. Is there a way to call in and monitor the link, and then key the transmitter if VOX is detected or better yet, if I press a digit on my phone to key and unkey the transmitter? Would be great to be able to bring up links, close links, etc from the phone's keypad as well. Thanks for any help. 73 Bobby KF4GTA

IC-706 Remote Base - kinda working!

Finally figured out why the IC-706 wasn't talking to app_rpt. In the rpt.conf, it states the civaddr= should be a 2 digit HEX #, when actually it has to be a 2 digit DECIMAL #. The default is 88 DECIMAL, the 706 shows 58H on the display. When you convert 58H to dec it is 88. I made a note to Jim so he knows to update the documentation. Everything is working FB now, other than it refuses to accept FM mode from radioinit=, memory, or direct entry. Waiting to hear back from Jim if it is a bug in the code that tells the 706 to go to FM or what it could be. I checked all the settings in the 706. Other modes work fine. Now back to other stuff... Thanks for everyone's responses. I'll write up a FAQ on how to get it all working once I am done.

Migration Nodes Have Been Purged

All migration nodes on the Allstar Link system have been purged out of the database. If there is a particular old node number that you want and have an overwhelmingly good reason, it is certainly possible to have an old node number that was in migration status previously assigned for a new node.
