But that may have changed in the latest ? The method I used years ago was to create a command to regenerate the dtmf string on the output. That is built-in to the app_rpt interface. So you give command *9751 (cmd= ) and that translates to output #1234 dtmf tones on the output. Do that with each needed output. A new command for each. I did create a toy-stanza that would regen whatever you type in so when you unkey it plays them back tx up. If you are good with asterisk.... it's a method. This only works for RF connected systems that are listening to your output. You will have to go to the books on that since I don't remember the command for outputting the dtmf. If you get stuck in a day or two, let me know and I will look at the old files for it. Initial 24hr load test of ASL VPS 1mb/1core

For those that have a interest. This is a 1core 1gb ram instance. The stats were generated from vultr's dashboard for the instance. There have been 4 output streams on this over the 24hr test period. With the W3WAN sys generating the traffic. http://29999.link/allmon/link.php?nodes=29999 From what I have seen, that is a typical node load. I think it looks pretty positive. But Would like to hear your read on it 'ON list' so everyone benefits. I will not be revising this on the page, but deleting the graph after a week or 2. I deployed awstats (i use on general webs) and later will be testing it's ability to monitor/stat stream data. (how2 is forthcoming) But if anyone has done this already with stream data, let me know. Fill me in ! For future reference, the testing and test interface's I build and any howto's will be posted at http://29993.link A test/toy hub. Nothing fancy, just the skinny. I intend to use good stuff I test at 29993 at other deployments. Anyone is welcome to use, copy, distribute any tools/toys for in the future so bookmark it and check-in from time to time to see if there is anything of value or what's up, or just connect to 29993 for a chat. But it would be suggested to look at the allmon page for activity before using any "LIVE" tools/toys i post later. I have a lot of stuff in mind, many of them old stuff I created years ago so we shall see how ASL on DEB9 works with some of them on a web instance. So far, I'm lik'n it ! And 29993 is a 512mb 1core instance. I will post a graph for it as the same when I have a good 4-out stream output data for 24hrs to use. I guess the whole trick is to find out what can be done on the minimal/512mb instance. So, I would like to sched anyone to connect to the 29993 minimal instance 9pm esdst Monday may 21 / i think that is @ 01:00 utc for anytime within that hour. so I might have a looksy at the real time load problems on the amount of streams we end up with. PCI Quad Radio Card Compatibility

After way too many years on the shelf, I'm reviving an old project. I have a Neoware computer and a Quad Radio PCI card I'd like to put to use. The computer boots into Limey Linux - I'd like to update to something a bit newer, but still want to be able to use the Quad card. Is the Quad Card supported in the latest ASL software? If not, what version? Since I've forgotten/misplaced/lost my Limey Linux login password, it seems like a good time to consider upgrading <grin>..... Thanks! John WB5NFC

Well, I tested it this morning with the Stretch images posted by Raspbian. Everything installed fine and DAHDI is working. But, they have removed OSS support from the kernel so no support for a USB radio interface. I have a way to put back the OSS without changing the kernel. I'm experimenting with this at the moment. I found that I (appear) to be missing dahdi-dkms. I just want to be able to connect to my hub, and onwards from there to other nodes. If I can get a radio connection working later, I'll do so... U-Verse 5286AC software bug pushed recently (be aware)

All, I wanted to share something with you that happened to me last Friday that might affect a small number of you if you are a U-Verse customer with a 5286AC Residential Gateway and if you use your own router (DMZ traffic to your own router). Last Friday, a software load (10.7.0.530220-att) was pushed to my RG, and the first thing that happened was my IPTV television service went down. I did some digging and noticed that I still had internet connectivity and dial tone, but no IPTV connectivity on the VLAN for television services. I ended up defaulting the RG and I got my TV back. I know one other ham that ran into issues last weekend when he got the push. So I know I am no the only one with this issue. But then after I restored the DMZ setting back to my router (I use the USG gateway from UBNT) I discovered that my allstar service would not register. Even though I could ping register.allstarlink.org and other things on the network, something was interfering with the registration path. If I take the DMZ out and let the USG obtain the local LAN address instead of the public address, it would start to work again. There are also some other issues that came up that effected the DVR and also sluggishness with the STB’s when using DMZ mode.. So I just wanted to pass this along so in the slim chance you are using the same configuration that I am, you are aware of this issue. Most don’t bother to use a separate router, but I do and prefer it that way. I will be documenting and getting details to the right group in the meantime. My previous version was 10.6.0.X. By the way, this is a lesson learned for me as I really thought there was an allstar registration issue initially, and well lets just say I nagged some key people and I owe them a drink now, so don’t make the same mistake 😊. I never bothered to restart my RG as since I use my own router, I just didn’t think it would be relevant to the issue since it is supposed to pass ALL traffic to my router, and well as we can see now there are some obstacles. 73 KA4EPS

Node Control via EchoLink text ?

Forgive me if this topic has been covered before I was paying closer attention to the list... I seen in the new config files a commented out section for sending a node command via ECHO-TEXT Is there any documentation for this. If not I can clearly see how it would be done. Guessing someone wrote a AGI script? It's a option I need to consider if I have no other means to shut things down if need be. Anyone, point me in the right direction ? If this is documented, I'm sorry, I did the lazy thing and not read any new manuals that may be out there for the deb9 installs.. Got so use to the idea in the past, you just have to figure it out on your own... LOL ...mike/kb8jnm

ASL debian install script (not iso)

So after my success loading ASL/stretch iso on vps, I want to use one other server where I can't load a iso on vps. But I was looking for the scripts to install on a existing debian 9 install. Can anyone point me to the right direction for those ? Just experimenting... Thanks, ...mike/kb8jnm
