Hi Eric, The correct command is now 'sip reload', same as 'iax2 reload', 'rpt reload', etc. The only odd man out is 'dialplan reload', you'd expect 'extensions reload' if you're like me. The best way to remember is just to type 'help sip' or 'help rpt' to get the correct command list. If the commands are missing then it means that either the relevant '.conf' files don't exist (maybe empty) OR the modules.conf file is wrong. Try 'module show' there should be at least 43 modules shown and for a normal ACID install I think it is well over a hundred. If you look at the modules.conf file it should have as a minimum: [global] [modules] autoload=yes noload= chan_alsa.so If you have that and there are still missing modules after a 'module reload' then there are a bunch of things missing from /usr/lib/asterisk/modules and something has gone terribly wrong. Try a restart now from the CLI. [App_rpt] Possible Bug (Locked to TX several hours).

Hi Guys I thought I should report the following as a possible Bug. I dialed up the following Echolink node last night to help out with Jota in the area and left it running over night. *33 138203 (JOTA-E). When I went to check it again today at about 2PM the Transmitter was locked on solid and there was no Audio. I checked the asterisk box to see that Asterisk has dropped out with an error and the DMK dongle had left the Transceiver locked on TX. :( Both the Green and the Red lights of the DMK Dongle were on Solid (Not Flashing).. [App_rpt] ACID update procedure to install latest version of Asterisk

A later version of asterisk is available for ACID installs. These upgrade instructions must be followed to the letter. 1. Change directories to /root 2. If you don't have an astupd.sh file STOP. Your ACID install is too old and you will need to do a fresh install which will install the latest version automatically. If you have to re-install, make a backup of your config files in /etc/asterisk so that you can restore them to the new install. 3. If you have an astupd.sh file, you will need to update it by downloading a new version. Use the following wget command from the /root directory to do this: wget http://dl.allstarlink.org/installcd/astupd.sh 4. Once the new script is downloaded, type: ./astupd.sh 5. Your system will now be updated. Wait for the download and compile to complete. 6. Reboot your system and check to see that your node is functioning properly. Steve WA6ZFT

Grabbed them from a test installation I did on a VMware virtual machine. I have a system with a quad port radio card and 2 tdm400 cards. do I really need usbradio.conf or chan_usbradio.so since I have none of the usb radio fobs attached? Eric

What is the difference between a centos install of core and base and a few post install scripts that compile asterisk and ACID? Can the scripts be obtained seperately effecting a slightly more manual and controlled install? Eric

Matt, If you followed the instructions is the ACID sysadmin manual, everything should be fine. Since database show is working, most of it is up and running. You might want to post your echolink.conf file with rhe password obiliterated to the list so that we can see if it is ok. If you try to connect before everyone gets an updated list the connection will fail. Please try after about an hour so that everyone gets a list with your node in it. Something else to check: Is your node showing up on echolink.org?
