David, I put up new version of evbphase2 today that (at least here) works with both EVB-0.010 and EVB-0.011. Do a wget from http://xelatec.com/asterisk/evbphase2 and start from scratch per the directions. Let me known if it still gives you problems. 73, Steven Henke, W9SH

[App_rpt] EVB 0.011
by David Powell-Williams 06 Dec '07

06 Dec '07

Greetings to All: It is traditional for newbies to ask for help in their first posting, so I will keep the faith. I have been running Asterisk for some time but switched today to EVB 011 so as to add app-rpt. Asterisk runs fine until I complete the installation by running the latest version of evbphase2. Thereafter, Asterisk immediately exits with code 1. (The USB selection was made to evbphase2.) The most serious warnings are: 1. Error loading module 'format_au.so': /usr/lib/asterisk/modules/format_au.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory I confirmed that this module does not exist anywhere on my system. 2. res_musiconhold.c:804 moh_scan_files: Cannot open dir /var/lib/asterisk/mohmp3/ or dir does not exist The directory '/var/lib/asterisk/moh/ exists but not mohmp3. I thought mp3 files and players were deprecated on >= Asterisk 1.4 in favor of .wav 3. chan_usbradio.c:2988 store_config: File usbradio_tune_usb.conf not found, using default parameters 4. chan_usbradio.c:3001 store_config: Unable to assign USB device for channel usb 5. chan_usbradio.c:1034 find_desc: could not find <usb> 6. chan_usbradio.c:3309 load_module: Device usb not found Anybody have some pointers on correcting the above? Assistance would be greatly appreciated. 73, Dave VE7MQ.

[App_rpt] USB Fob wiring confusing
by NDSU ARS W0HSC 26 Nov '07

26 Nov '07

I tried using google to search the archives, but I didn't get any results, so hopefully this isn't a common question. I'm making the USB Fob and can't for the life of me figure out what I'm supposed to do with AUX_Audio. Obviously it connects to pin 6 on the DSUB through a capacitor. Now what? My that I plan on replacing has TX Audio, RX Audio, COR, PTT, etc just like this one and my radio has all the same. Neither my old controller nor my radio have Aux_Audio. What do I do with that? Or can it be ignored? 73 Paul - KC0WIV

Has anyone successfully connected one of the USB sound card dongles to a MastrII base station back plane successfully that can tell me exactly where to make my connections so I don't have to reinvent the wheel? Thanks in advance. Fred, n4cla at nfarl dot org

[App_rpt] New Asterisk w/app_rpt Installation Package Available
by Steve Henke 14 Nov '07

14 Nov '07

Hello Everyone, I have released an automated installation package for Asterisk with app_rpt. It installs the Centos 5 Linux operating system, Asterisk (with source code including app_rpt and chan_usbradio), FreePBX, Webmin and a dynamic DNS update client. This package is unique because it installs the latest version of app_rpt directly from the developers' source code repository. And it prompts you for information that is used to set up the configuration files for your first node. Finally, there is an update utility so you can easily install new versions to simply get new features and bug fixes. Check it out at http://www.xelatec.com/asterisk/. Best Regards, Steven Henke, W9SH
