LOX and CAT 1000 Interfacing

Hi, I just received my lox and beagle board a few weeks ago and I'm trying to interface it with the remote base port on our CAT 1000. I'm interfacing the LOX DB9 with the CAT 1000 DB9, but I'm not sure if I have the pinout done correctly or not. Should the pinout be: LOX <> CAT 1000 GND <> GND CTCSS <> CTCSS PTT <> COR AUDIO OUT <> AUDIO IN AUDIO IN <> AUDIO OUT COR <> PTT or should the pinout be 1:1, ie: GND <> GND CTCSS <> CTCSS PTT <> PTT AUDIO OUT <> AUDIO OUT AUDIO IN <> AUDIO IN COR <> COR To interface the two boards, I'm using a DB9 to RJ45 on both ends and a straight through cat5 to connect the two. Node saying no longer in database

Having issues of the WEB trans not saying its on line and saying our node is no longer in the database, but i am able to SSH into the node and connect and disconnect from other stations through the repeater.. ANy thoughts? This is for node 28079?

Needed help with XIPPR_ROIP and iaXrpt

Hello, I'm doing my first installation of XIPPR_ROIP. I'm using a URIx and I have checked that this works well with the repeater I connected, I mean I can make it to transmit and receive. But I have not had success trying to connect to the server from the client application iaXrpt (Xelatec). I do miss something? I would appreciate any suggestions or help. Zoiper Android and Acid

update on DTMF regen....

Hi Jim; I have been able to generate 'canned' DTMF tones using the cop,48 function. I wonder if you would consider adding a function that can be called via CLI or script to offer total flexibility? - something like: rpt dtmf-regen <node_num> <dtmf_tones> where dtmf_tones can be 1234567890*#ABCD or a combination thereof. I searched the help output in CLI - couldn't find anything that offered the above functionality.... However, I was intrigued about the "frog in a blender...." ;). Cheers! Ramesh.

Using ALLSTARLINK 5.00 a month VOIP

Hello all.. we have been using Allstarlink's voip phone service and it works great. Only one questioin . I have changed the RPT.CONF caller ID to our repeater name and a local number, but it still comes up on the phone as a CA number. Is there some other settings i need to do to change the Caller Id.? Question...preventing access from web transceiver for certain callsigns...

Probably missed this along the way... 1. I'm getting a lot of drive bys via the allstar web transceiver. Is there any way (yeah, I'm a grouch) of 'blacklisting' specific call signs from connecting? Haven't seen anything, probably missing it, but if there is...would appreciate some pointers. I know it goes against the 'free and open' concept, but some folks are just annoying, even after sending them an email to stop doing it. thanks! Bryan WB0YLE #27294, 27295 and many others...

Web Trans rings 8-10 times before systems answers?

Is there any way of shortening it up? When i am logged on i can see the incoming call on the term screen but it seems to ring extra long before the system picks it up? Any thoughts? Bradley kc9gqr/k9wra

re-generate DTMF

Hi All; I'd like to allow DTMF tones to pass through my repeater and, in the case of a half-duplex node, to regenerate DTMF tones on the output frequency. I have been trying to get this going (and thanks to Ken, KE2N and Jon, VA3RQ for testing with me this morning). I have the following in my rpt.conf file: duplex=1 propagate_dtmf=yes With the above, we are unable to send / pass DTMF tones. Ken suggested that I try 'parrot mode' - I enabled that by adding the following to my functions stanza: 987=cop,55 ; Parrot once by command Now, when I send *987 123 (without unkeying) and on the output, I hear 3 clicks (corresponding to 1 2 3) - i.e., muted DTMF tones. How can I pass DTMF tones (in the case of a FD repeater) or re-generate them in the case of a half-duplex system? TIA! Ramesh.

Wireless Card
