I doubt a total reinstall is needed here. I've seen cases where the USB fobs didn't discover correctly when switching from Usbradio to Simple (or vice-versa). I'd suggest trying them one at a time per the directions. Make sure to (W)rite the settings for each fob in radio-tune-menu (or simpleusb-tune-menu) to generate your TUNE configs. It doesn't seem to bother app_rpt if you keep the tune config files in /etc/asterisk for both simpleusb and usbradio. For example: simpleusb_tune_usb2211.conf usbradio_tune_usb2211.conf I've switched back and forth between Simple and Usbradio on a test machine several times. Just make sure that either usbradio.conf OR simpleusb.conf exist in /etc/asterisk, but never both. 73 and GL. It's working! Well, kind of sort of. Can connect to my node, do commands and receive fine and have got good transmit audio reports.. BUT,sometimes there is no transmit audio. This is true with a local wi-fi connection or through the network. I could only get it register with type=friend. Investigations continue. Ed W8VT Node 27849

I cannot find anywhere to tell the allstar servers to NOT auto d/l configuration , I don't want it to write over any of my current nodes config. It says I need to but cant find the option to disable auto d/l. The node is pending so I need info asap Thanks K1if 27519

MSF-5000 with DMK URI

Has anyone been successful in adding a DMK URI to a MSS5000 repeater? I currently have a Arcom RC-210 controller that I'd like to remove and use just the URI interface. When I try running the radio tune menu, #2 receiver audio fails. My thought is the level is to low, but I'm not sure how to get it any higher, or possible use a different point that has a higher audio level. thanks, Bob / KC0EFC Node 27823

I have tried your syntax. I have try usbradio again. but I get no txvoice setup. but it keys and rx. I am confused. I don't want to have to reload the whole node but I guess I might have to go that route. Ryan

Hi Ryan, I wonder if you've tried the version I sent you? I'm wondering if this issue comes down to a syntax problem, etc? For example, I didn't see a [general] line in your simpleusb.conf. Also, make sure that usbradio.conf does not exist in /etc/asterisk. I figured I'd also post this to the group, in case anyone wanted to have a 'template' file for usbradio.conf or simpleusb.conf. As you know, I'm a big fan of SimpleUSB. It makes it possible for node owners to do more with a less powerful PC, provided that you use a COS line from the receiver, and don't use software-based PL squelch. Like running 3 or 4 RF nodes on a Pentium 3 PC! Note that I've made a couple of changes here, such as txmixa=voice and txmixb=no instead of having both at no. I'm thinking that the software will default both to voice or composite if mixa and mixb=no. I use this same setup on my nodes, and both audio channels combined result in a much too high audio level. I've also commented out the IRLP board support, but it is shown for anyone that might need or want it. I've also included comments that show what each command does. Has anyone had the problem of Web Trans stop showing up on the website, but once you do a box reboot it shows up? If so how did is there a fix for this problem.. No firewall running at the box site. Dynamic IP address but i do have a dyndns account if that would help somewhere?

Greetings, A few guys have been trying to help me but thought I would post to see if I get something different. No one can answer this problem. I can not adjust the setting on my fob with simpleusb-tune-menu here is simpleusb.conf [usb27539] hdwtype=0 rxboost=0 txboost=0 carrierfrom=usbinvert ctcssfrom=no txmixa=no txmixb=no invertptt=0 duplex=1 rxondelay=0 eeprom=0 here is simpleusb_tune_usb27539.conf [usb27539] ; name=usb27539 ; devicenum=1 devstr=4-2 rxmixerset=200 txmixaset=0 txmixbset=0 notice everything on the tx side is set to 0. I still get audio. If I put it on 999 it still sounds the same. I can also try and change the rx audio and it does move either. If I change to usbradio, it is opposite. I can not get any audio to go in or out. But cos and ptt works. Any ideas? Ryan

Thanks for the info. I must be doing something very stupid. Can not get Zoiper to register, get error: NOTICE[2761]: chan_iax2.c:6839 register_verify: No registration for peer "xyz" This occurs both over the 3G network or my local WLAN. i have IAXRPT working fine. Any ideas?
