Hello Andreas, I have something very similar for my TXFAN script. Any time the node radio is transmitting, the event happens. In my case, I touch a file on the ramdisk during transmit but it would be easy to instead turn on the GPIO. Does your system use a repeater controller? In other words, does local audio cause app_rpt to transmit? In my repeater, I have a controller that handles local audio and therefore app_rpt does not know when local users are keying. Hi Gang, I am using an allstar link repeater tied together with a second rpeater system nearby. I need a possibility to switch an uri gpio i/o pin to high always a station connects from outside (via internet) and i talking. if talking stops (no speech from outside via internet) the i/o ping must go low, if talking starts agein the i/o pin has to go high. No action on this pin (always low) if no one is connected from outside (there are then onky local users of the repeater). I hope somebody can help jhow to do this woth the event management subsystem. A problem I am having

I am brand new to this and have been reading to see if I can find a solution to the problem I am having. I purchased a URI and installed it with no problems. I set up the computer using acid and it accepted the node and server info and seems to come on line fine. When I connect using allstar it connects to the radio and announces it I am connected. When I use the computer microphone I can hear it come out on the radio fine. BUT when I go to listen there is no audio coming back over the link from the radio. I checked with a scope to be sure I had audio and I do. I ran the radio adjustments for rxnoise and rx voice and it said everything was successful. It did have me adjust the squelch higher though. I made sure to open the 2 ports ssh and the udp so I don’t think it is a port issue on the router. I am sure it is something simple but I am not sure where to look next. Any helpful suggestions for a beginner would be appreciated. Thanks Steve

Decoding DTMF

I am trying to setup a new node on a 64bit PC Most of the DTMF tones will not decode while running Asterisk -r I was able to get to a point where all except DTMF 3 would decode does not seem to work now only 5, 6, 0, *, # seem to work I have tweaked the rx settings and a few others, this just does not add up. If I dial in via phone allstar telephone portal it decodes with 0 issues. Everything was working with the same repeater/controller/URI/radio with a similar config on a 32bit computer, I can't imagine that should make any difference but I am slo running 3 nodes (1) URI for now... I have changed the rxmixerset from 6 to 900 and 800 , 700 etc Other diff is I used simpleusb-tune-menu on the 32bit computer but on the 64 I get the error "Error parsing device parameters" so I used the std radio-tune-menu. Anyone have ideas? Attached are conf files...

I don't specifically add my Allstar activity to logwatch, but several of my scripts report to /var/log/asterisk/connectlog. You could always use logrotate, and add a cron to email yourself the day's log. Another option might be to use my email_status script, and modify it to email once per day, rather than on each connect/disconnect. My scripts can all be found here: www.qsl.net/k0kn/scripts.html Personally, I like to have email_status send an email to my cell phone's "text" address, so I get a text message on connects and disconnects. Some folks don't have unlimited texting, and use email instead. You can also enable inbound control of your Allstar node via text or email. I find that useful for non-critical control of my nodes. Here's what the "standard" output looks like.
