Another node server having stability issues

Please can someone help me find the answer to make my server / nodes reliable. The computer is a HP 5700 with one gig of ram. it locks up and or sends clicking sounds with key-ups to the rest of the linked system and or stops responding. I have re-installed DIAL cut back to one URI and it ran ok for several hours. when i checked it this morning it was in failure again. I'm very interested in this thread because I recently attempted to get this working on a VXR-7000 with a RIM Lite from Scott Zimmerman. In my case, I initially tried using dsp mode and could not get it working at all. We wanted to use dsp mode because we wanted to implement the PL tones through the Raspberry Pi 3 controller. I then fell back to using COR from the repeater with carrierfrom=USBinvert in the usbradio.conf file. This works correctly but of course, we'll have to program the PL into the repeater itself. I know that the URI and the RIM Lite are different interfaces with different wiring diagrams, but the concept should be the same. Since the initial setup of the repeater, I've attempted to use dsp mode with a Raspberry Pi 3 with a RIM Lite and a different radio at my QTH and it seems to work just fine. Granted different radio, etc. but at least the Pi has the power to do the job. Might be an interesting idea to create a repository for radio and interface connection diagrams with the relevant configuration bits. That could probably save folks a lot of hassle in trying to figure this stuff out for themselves. uridiag fixed for DIAL

Well, I'm back after 3 days at the Orlando Hamfest. I had a great time meeting with quite a few ASL users that found me out in the flea market. ( have no idea how) I also had a chance to meet with a couple of hardware vendors about going forward with ASL. More on this later. Thanks to all. We have found the bug in uridiag that fails a known good URI with the loopback connector. In short, uridiag was not properly setting the audio output level. This does not in anyway affect the operation of either USB channel driver during normal asterisk operation. As with all ASL software, the source is published on GitHub at <https://github.com/AllStarLink> in the uridiag repository. For those that want to fix uridiag on their existing installations: login as root cd /usr/src/astsrc-1.4.23-pre/ rm -rf uridiag git clone https://github.com/AllStarLink/uridiag.git cd uridiag make cp uridiag /usr/local/bin You can now run the new uridiag. Make sure asterisk is NOT running. connect the loopback connector run uridiag 73, Steve N4IRS -- --- "Real programmers use vi, that's why I use nano."

I disagree. URI Diag works in DIAL. URIDiag has problem on the Pi. Works fine on a X86. We have found the bug in uridiag that fails a known good URI with the loopback connector. In short, uridiag was not properly setting the audio output level. This does not in anyway affect the operation of either USB channel driver during normal asterisk operation. As with all ASL software, the source is published on GitHub at < https://github.com/AllStarLink> in the uridiag repository. For those that want to fix uridiag on their existing installations: login as root cd /usr/src/astsrc-1.4.23-pre/ rm -rf uridiag git clone https://github.com/AllStarLink/uridiag.git cd uridiag make cp uridiag /usr/local/bin You can now run the new uridiag.
