I need to control switches within a script file via user dtmf command. How would I pass a number or flag from the app_rpt to my script file? I have been trying this from terminal, but do not understand how to turn control over to the remote user. Thanks and 73, Duane KA1LM

Hi Steve, I would like to ask if there is a new version of DIAL in which I can update in a simple way ? Is it necessary to reinstall the asterisk with app_rpt and how does it work ? Is there a way to define a listen-only (monitor only) IAX extension in extensions.conf? I provide VOX extensions for IAX (Zoiper, etc.) users. This works: exten => 1234,1,answer() exten => 1234,n,Wait(1) exten => 1234,n,Playback(rpt/connected) exten => 1234,n,rpt(1000|Pv) For listen-only, maybe use the S “Simplex dumb phone control mode” and find a way to disable the * and # DTMF commands for transmit? Glancing at app_rpt.c source code, I don’t see an obvious option for a listen-only extension: " Not specifying an option puts it in normal endpoint mode (where source\n" " IP and nodename are verified).\n" " Options are as follows:\n" " X - Normal endpoint mode WITHOUT security check. Only specify\n" " this if you have checked security already (like with an IAX2\n" " user/password or something).\n" " Rannounce-string[|timeout[|timeout-destination]] - Amateur Radio\n" " Reverse Autopatch. VOX sensitivity

Good Day, I am working on a project that connects our Asterisk PBX to one of our Allstar nodes. The issue we are having is the VOX is too sensitive. it will trigger and hang sometimes, we have also noticed a feedback loop. Any suggestions or ideas ? Thanks Rich, W6ABJ

DIAL sending audio to another DIAL when it shouldn't be - need some assistance please!

Hi folks, I have a unique problem I am hoping someone on the list can help me uncover where to look next. The situation is this: I have repeaters are 2 mountain tops. Mountain 1 and Mountain 2. On Mountain 1 are (2) repeaters, a VHF (repeater A) and UHF (Repeater B). On Mountain 2 is a VHF (Repeater C) and UHF (Repeater D). On mountain 1, there are also voted receivers for Repeaters C & D. There are DIAL boxes on both mountains. Repeaters A&B using DIAL on Mountain 1 (non-voting config, just basic repeater), and Repeaters C,D and both voters using DIAL box on Mountain 2 (microwave links between mountain 1 & 2). Everything has it's own RTCM (so there are 6 RTCMs in this situation). Everything is private (no public allstar nodes) Looking at allmon2 (running on each of the DIAL servers) I can see that there are NO links established and the RSSI bars respond to each of the voted receivers appropriately. I have checked each RTCM and DIAL box and verified that everything is logging in to where it is supposed to, and no where else. The problem I have is that when you transmit on Repeater A, the audio is being transmitted on both Repeaters A & C. If you transmit on repeater C, the audio is only retransmitted on Repeater C (as it should be). Looking at allmon, even during a transmission, there are NO links established. Verbose output on asterisk (asterisk -rvvvvvvvvv) shows no links established on either DIAL box. I can't figure out why DIAL on mountain 1 is sending the audio over to Mountain 2 DIAL (and only on the VHF set of repeaters even though the UHF set has an identical config). Any thoughts on where I might go looking would be much appreciated... I have been tearing my hair out on this one for a while! Happy to share any requested config. 5 quick beeps

Ive been trying to isolate what is causing 5 really quick beeps when i unkey when my node is connected to a particular node. the same 5 really quick beeps is also heard from another user when they connect their node to that particular node. Has anyone heard 5 really quick beeps before (5 beeps in about one second)? -- ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) digitalattack.org
