IAXRPT windows desktop client no speaker audio

I just installed IAXRPT on a Win7 pro desktop computer. I can connect to my home node and can key it,and watch the audio speaker level fluctuate when I ask for *70 node status. But NO receive audio on the computer is heard on speaker or headphone jacks. In windows audio mixer I only have system sounds and Skype level sliders. No idea where IAXRPT speaker audio is supposed to come in. Any ideas? Thanks, Duane KA1LM

COP warm boot locks FOB in TX

I have DIAL running on a fanless computer with modified USB FOB. The system is in final test on the bench with a laptop SSH'd in over the local LAN. I was experimenting with COP commands and noticed a possible fault. Sending COP *901 warm boot locks up the FOB in TX! I watched the CLI while sending *901 from a radio. It showed "KILLED", and then stopped decoding radio commands. The FOB TX light locked on. I sent REBOOT on ssh and restarted the node. Ideas? Thanks, Duane KA1LM

Voter Lost Master Timing Source

With the RTCM and the Main server on the same LAN, and the RTCM pointing at the LAN IP of the server, 10 minutes or so, the RTCM looses the master server and then comes back, it gives offline and says the host connection was lost, then quickly goes back to OK. Has anybody seen this before?

Can't Change CTCSS input threshold on RTCM menu

Unfortunately, on our CTCSS output, there is about 0.15 Volts when no signal, and 5 when there is signal. The RTCM thinks that there is Always a signal. I am trying to adjust this menu on the RTCM: 20 - Ext. CTCSS Input Threshold (850) (0-1023) When I hit 20, and then enter my new value, it is not updated, and stays at 850, this number is set and won't change. Any thoughts? If this doesen't work, we will probably try to use a diode or something to drop the voltage. Skyler K0WHB

I'm trying to get my node going again. It's online but I'm fighting bad echo. You hear the output looping into the input with a delay about the length of the word "One". So in a count you hear "ONE one TWO two " ...etc Confirmed with parrot. It's not local RX getting into TX, it's internal to the URI soundcard/cable/rx. I've tried with both rxboost on/off and re calibrating. It's not RFrelated as it does the echo with the TX turned off. Radios are a pair of Motorola SM50's connected via 16pin to the URI. They go into a 4 can duplexor into the antenna. Audio is flat raw discriminator for the RX and direct to the modulator/ptt. The same radios/cavities worked just fine with a dvrptr to do d-star. The cable I used is a 25 pin Printer cable that is shielded /twisted pair. I just cut off one end, traced the wires and soldered them to the 16 pin. I've tried 2 different PC's with ACID then DIAL distro's. Still same echo. If you would like a demo I'm node 2090 (W9DRR).. Wondering where to look, it's almost like a software mixer thing or something. 73 Don W9DRR

Device usb2 currently not active

Trying to set up a second radio node on a RPI3 using the instructions found on "Page 10 of 12 - Beagle Bone Black Configuration How-to - 04/19/15 - WA3DSP" and getting this error message " Device usb2 currently not active" and do not see the expected message "Saved radio tuning settings to simpleusb_tune_usb2.conf" Herman N6HHP

You can try to use the command "find". find / -name ntp.conf I don't think DIAL has NTP install by default. Sorry I'm not a Debian user. It looks like Debian uses ntpdate. You can edit /etc/default/ntpdate. Migration Issues

I just migrated one of my nodes from ACID to DIAL. It is up and running fine but I have a couple of things that need to be addressed. First, it is no longer showing up on the Allstar Status Pages. When I connected it to one of my other nodes the Allstar site showed the correct info in the bubble display. Is there a command I can run to force registration or is there a logfile that might show errors? Second, during the install I saw where it was trying to sync to time servers. I block access to time servers external to my network since I have a Stratum 1 NTP server on my network. Where can I change the NTP settings? I am not a Linux guru so a full path is appreciated. migrating from acid to dial.

got a 2 node site with Acid on an old P4 computer. It is working great but I need to replace it before it goes down. I will replace it with a used server computer that is in great shape. a proliant with dual nic (gigabit) multiple power supply, ect.. xeon dual cpu 8 gig of ram. I know that it is over kill but it was given to me and I want to connect the second nic to a Mesh that we are starting around Montreal and provide service from there.. So I need to confirm some stuff.. Can I use the configuration file that I have from the old computer? will the node level settings be the same, or do I need to redo the level ajustement? I know that I some files will need to be changed.. can anyone confirm wich one? Thanks for the help Pierre VE2PF
