I saw the instructions on app_rpt site but does any one know more wildcard type rules? Trying to kill off the annoying drive bys. I want to allow -L,-R's and my choice user type connections and block all else. Also does this filter only apply to incoming connections? Greg

app_rpt with asterisk 1.8.11

Hi , We are looking for an option of integrating app_rpt with asterisk version 1.8.11 using URI or any other option having four ports. Please help if someone has experience in this. We need to integrate with the radios in following three scenarios : 1. The solution has the following aspects : a. In case user has radios with DTMF keypad he shall be able to dial any extension via radio. b. In case radio does not support DTMF keypad one shall be able to dial to fixed extension using COR output from radio. c. In case radio does not support DTMF keypad or COR output from radio , by sensing the audible energy shall be able to dial to fixed extension. For 1(c) we need the following requirements as well : i)Audio level should be field adjustable. User should be able to increase of decrease audio gain to his satisfaction. ii) Speech should switch instantaneously across Radios with delay of less than 200 m sec. iii) The VOX and VMR feature must also include an adjustable audio sampling so that the radio input received during the time required making a valid signal is not clipped off. iv) The speech spectrum detector should be capable of filtering out fixed/ variable frequency sirens, whistles and horns without falsely activating cross connected radio networks. Solution is complete in case it handles all three scenarios. Please suggest in case you have solution for the same using app_rpt or URI. regards , MD

DIAL with Quad PCI Radio Card with Kenwood G707 Remote Base

Hello All, I'm wondering if anyone else is seeing this, or anything like this. I installed DIAL on my remote base node that has a Quad PCI radio card with a Kenwood G707 remote base on it. I was able to get it working under DIAL with Steve Zingman's help. Under DIAL, when I am steering the G707 with memory or direct dial frequencies, it takes roughly 12 seconds for the display on the front of the G707 to change and then I get a function complete. Under CentOS, it would only take a second or two. Configs were copied over from the CentOS archive and are identical except for the change in filenames due to the channel now being called DAHDI. Any thoughts? Monty

Disable the TXENA

Is it possible to disable the T X E N A announcement when re enabling the transmitter? I have a script which disables the transmitter and re-enables every time that I switch channels on my remote base. It is sort of annoying that it goes throughout all links that have telemetry enabled. 73 Skyler

Fail portal download

When I install Dial on a laptop or Raspberry pi I get a failure to download configuration from allstar. I reinstall and manually configure and everything works. I would like to use the portal to configure but when I set it to download nothing happens on my allstar computer. Is there a command I need to set in a conf file? Is there a script I can run manually?

Forgotten password

Hi, I cannot tell you how much I regret writing this question. I have forgotten my username and password for my Allstar Raspberry Pi SD SD card that I previously had working and fully configured. Is there a method to reset this, or do I need to start again? I have added init=/bin/sh to the end of my cmdline.txt file. If this procedure works, I should be able to reset the password. How do I setup channel B to generate a PL tone?

I am using the RPi2-3 image on a Pi3 and the RB-USB-RIM. I would like to set Channel B to output a PL tone of 110.9 Hz. In SimpleUSB, I have set txmixb=tone. I have set the level to 500. Using an oscilloscope, I see no output from Channel B. Where do I set the frequency and how do I enable it? Tnx Steve N8AR

*12100 does not disconnect? Did you set receive audio levels?
