autopatch

I have the autopatch setup, and I can dial out and that works fine. Problem is, the link between the repeater and asterisk is a simplex link. VOX is supposedly supported but it doesn't seem to work, it keeps the TX keyed even when there is no audio being passed over the phone. I have duplex=0 set in rpt.conf. Anyone have any suggestions on this.Andrew.

Asterisk froze?

I had an interesting thing happen. Asterisk froze. I was able to connect to the console with asterisk -r, but the repeater was completely stuck and unresponsive. I had to kill -9 the process and start it again. I didn't see anything in the logs. Hey everyone I spent most of yesterday researching this DTMF issues aparently the usbradio_29925.conf file got messed up or some thing because the audio in it is very very very hot so.. I dropped down the TX voice levels actually just about all the voice levels and now my home radios DTMF works but on my handheld only a few DTMF keys do not work and that is 9 6 3 2 The rest of the DTMF keys work great and it seems to be ok guessing in this case it could be my handheld.. dtmf issues now..

Hey everyone im out running around on my hand held here below the repeater and magically i dont have the abulity to use my dtmf on the radio it only catches certain numbers not sure why anyone ever see anything like this.. thanks for the reply. i will play with the enc settings hopefully it will do what I want. as for the CT, I ain't much of a coder, I do wish the docs were a bit better wrote cause to a dumbdumb like me it don't explain everything well. I ain't sure how I would define things. (it is abit above me pay grade lol) truth be told, I am totally lost on how to make it happen. Codecs

Question what is the lowest codec one should use for allstar? If some one could list all the codecs and how they work in iax.conf or sip.conf that would be great example lets say i wish to use speex narrow band what would that be allow=Speex?? I really miss the autopatch service

Wiring a GM300 to a RTCM

I’ll confess that I am new to this part. It was dumped on me without warning and that’s OK. Time to learn a few things. I have a GM300 that is going to be a remote base and a cable purchased from eBay that is prewired for the GM300 side. I understand (I think) that TX goes RX, RX goes to TX, GRND to GRND – but now for PTT, COR and CTCSS. I wonder if some could push me over a cliff – I mean in the right direction. I have no documentation on the RTCM. Thanks, R.
