I am pleased to announce that version 1.2.1 is available for download. You can download from the link on the web page - hamvoip.org - or from this link: http://hamvoip.org/BBB/BBB_Allstar_v1.2.1.zip VERY IMPORTANT - many things have changed from version 1.1 so please read the documentation. Two PDF's are included in the zip file and I am also attaching them to this email. Also many how-to documents on the web page have been added and changed, some in the last few days, so be sure to read them and refresh your browser to make sure you are getting the latest version. This is stated in other documents but I will repeat it again. This version has a node configuration script that will guide you through the setup of your node. Please read the "How-to setup the configuration files" document on the web page for full information and cautions. Because some of the file locations have changed please do not copy any files from a prior version over to this version until you read the documentation. It would be best to setup this new version from scratch and once everything is working you can selectively update to your liking observing the cautions. This release contains several backup/restore options that you will be able to use in future versions. Read the "How-to backup your BBB" on the web page. Lots of other goodies, read the how-to's. We spent many hours trying to make this the best package we could so I hope it works well for you and you enjoy the new features. Plans are already underway for the next version with more planned improvements but first a little break!! Node id'ing accross to other nodes

Hi All, I've been trying to figure out why this is happening. Recently one of my nodes started id'ing globally across the network instead of just locally. loss of time

I have one repeater now running full time with a BBB & URI. The tower site doesn't have internet at the location yet. Probably not until spring. That is a future thought for doing all of this. I have noticed that it took the system no time at all to loose its time sync and the time seems to be random. however as soon as I get the the bbb an internet connection from my phone it syncs right back up. I have a gps at my finger tips with a data out any thoughts ? Half duplex Tx override

I have a half duplex node with COR and the behavior seems to be that as lng as COR is active, it will not switch to transmit even if there is an incomming transmission on the link. The behavior I would like to enable is that if there is an incoming signal on the link, it should override the COR and switch to transmit. Vox during autopatch..

Hi everyone its loren again yes... I know right I am back with another question.. Here is what I need is it possible to for example i dial out for autopatch its connected all the way up till some one gets on the phone then I would like to see it switch to Vox operations allowing the transmitter to drop so that it will reset the Transmitters Backup time out timer.. Example either I could Dtmf a set a numeral values into the repeater and drop the tx radio and bring it back up etc just need to go down for 5 seconds to reset every 2 minutes.. is this possible?? anyone out there have the same issues? Disable announcements for node connects and disconnects

When nodes connect, our repeater outputs long announcements (e.g. node xxxxx is connected to node xxx...). How is this eliminated? Simple tones are fine. I'm missing something here.. Thanks, Bob kk6ecm
