File name and location of ACID list of updated valid allstar link nodes?
by Bob 15 Aug '14

>From http://ohnosec.org/drupal/node/72 "Allstar link has an IP address distribution mechanism to periodically update all valid allstar link nodes. This information is automatically retrieved from a set of redundant Allstar node servers by a script which runs in the background on the Allstar link node." I save everything, but I guess my retrieval system is not working too well... electronically and in my ol' gray matter... please remind me of the file name and location where this info is kept on the ACID build? Thanks, Bob kk6ecm From: app_rpt-users-bounces(a)ohnosec.org [mailto:app_rpt-users-bounces@ohnosec.org] On Behalf Of Doug Crompton Sent: Thursday, August 14, 2014 6:48 PM To: app_rpt-users(a)ohnosec.org Subject: Re: [App_rpt-users] DTMF digits on IaxRpt Somehow this got off on rpt.conf while the original question was about iaxrpt a product written by xelatec which is not open source. If it was someone could probably fix the problem. You need to complain to the developer. The last time iaxrpt was updated was Jan 10, 2011. There are a lot of neat features that could be added to that application like adding the missing DTMF keys and including the ability to control PTT from other windows applications and not have it unkey off focus. If that were done it would work very nicely for digital interface application like fldigi. If you go to the iaxrpt website and register you can use the "call me now" tab to call one of the developers. Whether that works or not is another story but I suppose you could always email at the contact us tab. Asterisk and app_rpt decodes the A-D keys very nicely. Run the asterisk client and press the keys, you will see them decoded. 73 Doug WA3DSP http://www.crompton.com/hamradio From: apprptusers(a)westbrook.com Date: Thu, 14 Aug 2014 18:24:17 -0600 To: Bryan(a)bryanfields.net CC: app_rpt-users(a)ohnosec.org Subject: Re: [App_rpt-users] DTMF digits on IaxRpt Asterisk's "dsp.c" (even the old version in the app_rpt fork, I believe) does indeed already decode them at no additional cost, so I too would have expected them to just come along for the ride. Does some other part of the system filter them out? Who cares why -- although I can think of a dozen use cases without even trying hard. Besides, it costs absolutely nothing when you're already doing the other digits. DTMF digits on IaxRpt
by larry 14 Aug '14

14 Aug '14

If using IaxRpt control panel can anyone explain how to dial DTMF digits A,B,C,D? I don't mean the propagation issue. I mean the keypad is only a 12 button keypad not a 16 key. Anyone know a way to add the other 4 buttons (A,B,C,D) or send their tones as if they are being dialed from the keypad? Larry - N7FM
