AllStar Linux server hangs

My AllStar node just hangs every so often. I have to physically drive up to the remote high-site and pull the power to get it working again. I don't know much about fault finding in Linux so could someone give me a pointer. I attached the last bit of text from this email "You have new mail in /var/spool/mail/root" . I suspect that the hard drive is running out of space but why? And what files can I delete to give me more HDD space? Shaun zr5s (zs5pmb)

Alot of groovy things could be done by using different nac's. P25 Spectra Radios are getting reasonable even on EBAY. building up repeaters and remote bases for P25 signalling has been done with the Maxtrac and Rafius gear. Just validate the NAC on Rx and pass it along. Tx could just just be 9600 baud data stream to tx modulator. Valid NAC could serve as COR

Newbie Questions: URIx Loop-back & more?

Greetings from a Newbie, I would like to do some further testing of my AllStar Node with the ³HGBL² before hooking up to a radio. If I make up a lop back plug, what or how do I determine if the node is working correctly? How do I set the IP address to a fixed type so I can set up remote help using DMZ? Can anyone explain why the port should be changed from 222 to another number? Is there anyone that would like to help me over the phone? I would be happy to call you on my nickel err dollar. I have got IAXRPT connecting to the Asterisk Server :D But when I send it *73 command for instance the message I get back is choppy and missing some of the audio. I am running this on a Intel D525 Motherboard with ACID install. Is this expected? Thanks Dave

Quad Card User IO Question

I'm looking into the possibility of using the NO6B Remote Base Interface with my Quad Card. The NO6B RBI is designed to accept the Doug Hall generic data stream, control a Kenwood TMG-707 and is primarily used with LinkComm controllers. The RBI expects standard TTL logic levels (<0.8 V for 0, >2.0 V for 1). Would this interface be driven properly with UIOA & UIOB on the Quad Card? Is the Doug Hall generic protocol currently supported by app_rpt? Thanks for any help in identifying potential challenges and pitfalls. John / WB5NFC

Got ACID installed whats next?

ACID seems to running on PC. URI has a blinking green light. :D Node number has been entered etc, used the server setup option. If I go in and make changes at Allstar do the change automagically get updated in my unit or I have to do something? No radio hooked up yet. So how to I test out the basic setup? Do I have to setup IAXRPT to connect to it? when I try to connect I get a call failed message I don't want to hook up radio until I know more about this and feel I have control of the setup.
