Yep! IAX rpt been working fine for me. Just upgraded it too. My op system here is win 2000. Works on my net book too on XP pro. Friend of mine had problem with W7 64 though. OK well I made the changes to IAX.conf and the portal server setting and works fine here. One thing I found though doing the bind thing is IAX_RPT wont connect to that node now. Not sure if its something to do with IAXRPT or do I have to change something else to get that working again? Perhaps Steve W9SH can comment on that. I am using a linksys WRT54GL router with DDWRT on it. Do you know it it will do PAT?? Would be nice to know. Hi All, I know this has been asked before. I have 2 node boxes and would like to put both on the same router/IP. I would like to change the def port on one of the nodes to 4568 so I can operate both boxes. The first server has 4 nodes on it already and maxed out on the USB ports. So using second box to add an extra node. I remember somebody saying that a change must be made in the node and the folks at Allstar have to set something in the server? Please advise. Thanks. Hi all it's g7dnt Keith on nodes 2498 & 27333. I have used Ghost a disk clone tool to bit copy my Allstar node disk and the original 40gb disk was cloned on 10 minutes all tested and is now a backup of my system I have been asked to make a node replacement so can I; Clone my disk again and test as usual on my system then take the other Asterisk folder from the other Allstar node and over write my config. Then login and reset the root password to match the other persons node. At this point telephone the other node owner and get this node turned off. Once he has turned this node off then turn on the cloned node with that Allstar configuration folder at my location and test node 2259. Before I do the above I thought I would ask as the other node is 300 miles away and I am trying to help a node owner out in building a new node pc preconfigured that he could plug n go. Reverse autopatch / Icom 706MKIIG remote base?

Just curious if I fat-fingered something during the auto-patch setup. I can dial out ok. I cannot dial-in. (Well, I can call in, enter node, enter access code, it gives me the greeting that IF someone on the radio end answers I'll be connected, but then it times out and disconnects.) I never hear the incoming call announcement on the repeater. I tried bringing up the autopatch from the radio while I was on hold hoping it was just an announcement thing, but no luck. Any ideas? (Oh I am using the auto-config feature which I find OUTSTANDING!). THANKS to all who worked on the new scheme to get all of this working! I've been doing IT, Radio, and electronics for 36 years now and I appreciate the effort it takes to do this! (can you spell NOVELL ? - on floppys no less!). This stuff is very cool! (I still have 6 existing repeaters to convert to the new scheme!......just wish I could get my 706MKIIG to work with all of this. Anyone have a WORKING rpt.conf for remote base?) Neil

When a callsign is added to the deny list in echolink.conf, what is required to make it take effect? Does Asterisk need to be re-started, or is there a gentler way? Thanks David GD4HOZ

Hi, I run the DMK dongles but I wanted a cheap one just to hang a scanner off and as it didn't require PTT etc no modifications are needed to just pipe the audio. I haven't got it going yet as I'm not sure about some of the config side of things but when I do I'll let you's know if and how well it works. I also hope to get a couple more DMK dongles when funds allow to add HF and Full dupe V/UHF dual band nodes. Hi all, I opened all 4 of the "so called" CM108 units that I bought from DealExtreme. The packaging, and plastic cases for each unit are identical, but the PCBs are different. Of 4 units purchased, I ended up with 3 "blob" units, and one CM119 leaded unit. I'm going to send DealExtreme my thoughts in an email/feedback, but I doubt they'll replace the units, or refund my $$$. I was considering using the CM108 fob for audio only anyway, so long as I can use serial or parallel for COS/PTT. Do the CM119 units work with Allstar? 73. Kyle K0KN
