Cw IDer, ID's Not over my Simplex Node but to the Node I'm connected to. How do I get the IDer back on my own Node?

Echolink Question

Hello, I am wondering if anyone else has had this problem. When I connect to a Echolink station from my All Star node, say the Echo Reflector, I seem to get a loop. I don't key my repeater, and It will keep going back and forth and the telemetry CT is a single boop, like it is from the link, not a beep boop like from my repeater. So I connected my All Star node to my windows laptop running Echolink as a single user, and whenever my node is receiving a signal from an echolink station, after the station is done "transmitting" my node will return with a transmitting signal with no audio. URI and DMTF

Hi, we are using an URI to connect a radio to an asterisk. We would like to disable DMTF encoding from the radio channel to the asterisk. Is this possible? Toggle CTCSS Decode for repeater access or carrier only on/off

Using USBRADIO> I've not figured how to turn on/off CTCSS repeater access or carrier only repeater access via DTMF command. Is this possible or supported? I ca do it by reconfiguring usbradio and restarting asterisk/zaptel but I've not figured out how to do it via DTMF. I'd like to be able to 'open up' the repeater for carrier access during events, special occasions and nets via DTMF command schedules etc. Thanks! Hi again, This is a follow up to my earlier message. The JMTek, LLC. fob uses a SSS1623 IC. Not the CM108 that it claims. A schematic is available at http://www.power-on.com.tw/PRODUCT/USB-AUDIO/SSS1623%20product%20spec%20Ver% 201.02.pdf I changed the define statement in chan_usbradio.c to match the JMTek chip and I get a blinking light and I can pass tone using the radio tune txvoice command. However, this does not address the COR and PTT requirement. The SSS1623 chip does have GPIO control pins but on the fob I have they do not appear to be brought out to the board. If you have a fob with a discrete chip on it you may be able to get to these pins. But it may also require a new device type be added to chan_usbradio.c and usbradio.conf. Does anyone know a reliable source for the CM108 fobs? Device usb not active

Matt, Ken and Steve, Thanks for the response, the information is very helpful. The package I have is clearly marked Cmedia Cm108 USB 7.1 Channel Sound. But the identity is Bus 004 Device 002: ID 0c76:1607 JMTek, LLC. When I open the device, it has a round black BUG or blob in the middle of the board, not a clearly defined chip. There are no markings on the BUG. Thanks again, Paul

Audio Dropouts

Audio dropouts seem to be happening more often on my node. I was monitoring an IRLP QSO today while watching console output. Most severe dropouts occurred during the WARNINGS shown below. The DTMF chars appear to be falsing - no tones were sent. I purchased 2 USB sound adapters that claim to be CM108 but I have NOT tried to modify them yet. I completed the installation, and connected the USB device when instructed. I am having trouble controlling, each time I try the message from the asterisk CLI reads, " hungup 'zap/pseudo-(10 digit #) ' " What does this indicate? Thanks Ed

Voting receivers for app_rpt

I for one am happy with the current hardware selection and would not want to suffer reliability issues by adding IRLP, sound cards, etc. To say nothing of the burden on the people that put this stuff together. Having said that, is there a way to set up voting receivers with app_rpt? I've snooped around a bit but have not much mention of the subject. Or can somebody point me in the right direction. It would really be an asset for our 900 system in So Cal. Mark KD6WLY
