OK, I think it worked but won't be able to try and boot till tonight. It did make teh CF and is a bit over 121MB total. To make it work, I nuked the sudo -E parts and had to make a link from mkdosfs to be mkfs.msdos. This one also choked on grep, and my way was to download the file to my web server and get it from there. Had to do same for lm-sensors.

For two reasons. --one-- The latest Digium sources are not compatible with app_rpt and the usb driver, Getting Digium to incorporate our changes to fix this has been next to impossible. Our solution was to use a patched copy of asterisk 1.4.23-pre and build our system off of that. Yes, we have technically forked Asterisk, but we had no choice. --two- Running a radio system and a phone system off of the same box is just asking for trouble. If the radio system goes down, so does your phone system. I learned this one the hard way a few years ago when my system was configured in this manner. I now run two separate servers to avoid getting complaints form family members when my experiments on the radio system go amok. Also, the phone system works much better with DTMF_RELAX configured to be disabled. The sources for the version of Asterisk with all necessary patches and the latest app_rpt.c and usb channel driver are available via SVN from the developers section of my site at http://app-rpt.qrvc.com Steve WA6ZFT No virus found in this outgoing message. In making ramdisk.img now get thru make binaries ok, but in make ramdisk it fails out of the gate on sudo. sudo doesn't like the -E option. If I'm running this as root, do I even need sudo? GeorgeC W2DB

Connection to speaker output

I can't see the forest for the trees.... or similar!!! I'm new to app_rpt and in the process of installing (learning) the hardware and software..starting with something simple I thought.. This is for remote base not a repeater. I have the DMK URI and the XIPAR distro installed. When using IAXRPT I don't hear any receive audio.. transmit is fine both through the client and CLI.. For example *80 I can hear the cw id both on the client and over the air. I am using the speaker conx on an IC28H wired to Mic-in (Pin 9) on the URI. I believe the wiring is ok because I move the URI to a Windows system and using MMVARI I can see waterfall activity when listening on the APRS freq. I don't have test equipment unfortunately. Using my best 1000Hz whistle on a handheld I got rxvoice to "success"??. I've tweaked various settings in usbradio.conf (ie rxdemod=speaker) but still no joy. Now it's probably something obvious but what??? Like I say it's hidden in the forest somewhere.. So any clues for the clueless would be appreciated. Bill ve7qc

Hi all, I started adding app_rpt into an asterisk system here at the end of last year, then other things kept me away from asterisk other than maintaining my home phone system !. Now I have a little more time (before the next calamity!) I thought I'd pick up where I left off But I dont want a turnkey distro at this stage I have app_rpt.c and the digium sources I just want to add usbradio.c and the "xpmr" folder files onto my "development" asterisk box for a "play". I looked over the site, and couldnt find a link, I googled around a lot and found the code in HTML format (with line numbers) but couldn't find the raw source. Where do I get these sources these days please ? I cant see a link to a CVS tree either 73 'CQU No virus found in this outgoing message. Trying to make a D201 image, and the end of doing make ramdisk.img here's the result. Also, is there a source for the D945 motherboard? I have the pre-built image, but want to include my modified app_rpt.c, and also add in support for the ethernet adapter on that board (r8168) I looked directly at debian.org's ftp server, and that file name and directory don't exist there. What does exist at -- http://ftp.debian.org/debian/pool/main/g/grep/grep_2.5.1.ds2.orig.tar.gz If this is correct, where can I modify to get this file instead? How to recomplie just the app_rpt.c ?

Good Day, I've made a minor change to the app_rpt.c file, How do I recompile app_rpt.c? I tried ./configure, make apps and then make install but no joy, I must have missed something. Thanks, Bruce

Echo Link channel connection failure

Hi group, finally got everything running last weekend except for EchoLink. When I try to do an inbound connection, it fails. An outbound connection produces the following failure: File.c : 1205 Unexpected control subclass '113 Then Asterisk stops and exits with a "exit 139" code AllStar and IRLP are perfect, what did I do wrong?
