Has anyone gotten the following to work? /* Un-comment the following to include support for MDC-1200 digital tone signalling protocol (using KA6SQG's GPL'ed implementation) */ /* #include "mdc_decode.c" */ If so where do you get the source code that works with it? Thanks, Scott KB2EAR

Testing request: app_rpt.c version 0.184
by Stephen Rodgers 22 May '09

22 May '09

This version of app_rpt.c adds the nolocallinkct option requested in Mantis Feature request 0000006: Want to crosslink 2 repeaters locally but do not want the linked courtesey tones (CT) to sound. Only sound linked CT when linked to nodes outside of the "local" network. For usage documentation please refer to: http://app-rpt.qrvc.com/node/96 Download the test version of app_rpt.c from here: http://qrvc.com/viewvc/projects/allstar/astsrc-1.4.23-pre/trunk/asterisk/ap… Steve WA6ZFT

It seems either we don't know the "secret handshake" to properly say "bye" to a reflector, or it is SOP for the reflector to continue sending stuff after a disconnect. We're not quite sure why refectors do this. It's irritating because, of the way the IRLP scripts are coded this can cause false disconnects if someone disconnects from a reflector, and then rapidly connects to something else. Steve WA6ZFT

Request for Testing: Transmitting Tone Sequences
by Stephen Rodgers 21 May '09

21 May '09

Documentation on use: http://app-rpt.qrvc.com/node/94 Required source files: App_rpt.c version 0.183 and an updated indications.c to support decimal tone frequencies are required to test this functionallity. http://qrvc.com/viewvc/projects/allstar/astsrc-1.4.23-pre/trunk/asterisk/ma… http://qrvc.com/viewvc/projects/allstar/astsrc-1.4.23-pre/trunk/asterisk/ap… Please note: You must be running ACID version 0.7 or Limey Linux 1.0.7 for the indications.c patch to work. If you are using a version of Asterisk downloaded from Digium's site, you will need to merge the changes into indications.c This addresses Mantis feature request 0000008. Steve WA6ZFT

Deviation settings for narrow band
by Mark Hergesheimer 19 May '09

19 May '09

I'm using a 12.5 KHz narrow band system with 2.5 KHz of deviation so when setting up the URI, I referred to Steve's post "Adjusting Audio Levels" using the URI. I also made the assumption that if a 1 KHZ tone set to 3 KHz of deviation was correct for a 5KHz system then 1.5KHz would be correct for my 2.5KHz system. So I set rxvoice to 1.5KHz and rxtone to .6KHz then with txtone set to 0, I set txvoice to 1.5KHz and txtone to .6KHz. However when this was complete I had low audio through the repeater and only 1.85KHz of dev out. So I went back with the service monitor in duplex mode and adjusted the txvoice up until I got my 2.5KHZ out and the repeater sounds very good as a standalone. I have 2 questions and a comment, first, what are the correct numbers for setting up a 2.5KHz system using the URI's? and why? Second, What would the best way to add a 5KHz node and keep the levels even across the system? Comment: We recorded some voice announcements for repeater ID through our Asterisk phone system at work to produce the wav files and the audio is really great, as a matter of fact I'm very impressed with this whole app_rpt deal !!! Thanks Mark

Testing request: app_rpt 0.181 and chan_irlp 0.26
by Stephen Rodgers 17 May '09

17 May '09

New versions of app_rpt.c and chan_irlp.c are available from svn: app_rpt.c Version 0.181 chan_irlp.c Version 0.26 1. Better control of IRLP connect and disconnect messages through config file options and DTMF commands, and added irlpplay CLI command to assist in queuing the messages one at a time. Attempt to resolve Mantis bug 0000003. New rpt.conf keywords for node stanza: irlpann={0,1} (0 = no irlp disconnect/connect massages, 1 = play irlp disonnect/connect messages) See source file for DTMF command usage. 2. Better control of Echolink connect and disconnect messages through config file options and DTMF commands Attempt to resolve Mantis bug 0000002. New rpt.conf keywords for node stanza: eannmode=(1,2,3} (1 = say node number only , 2 = say callsign only, 3 = say node and callsign) See source file for DTMF command usage. 3. Added feature to call an external program on connect and disconnect. New rpt.conf keywords for node stanza: connpgm=yourconnectprogram discpgm=yourdisconnectprogram Passes node which is processing the connect or disconnect as the first arg (us), and node which is being connected or disconnected as the second arg (them), Attempt to add Mantis feature request 0000007. 4. Convert morse code sender to use ast_playtones_start so that the timing of the morse code characters is consistent. Attempt to resolve Mantis bug 0000005. --- Steve WA6ZFT
