Hello Luc, I believe what you are looking for is an Asterisk feature, more than a Hamvoip/Allstar feature. It sounds like you need to set up Asterisk Call Detail Records (CDR). If you Google "iax cdr", or "asterisk cdr setup", you will probably find plenty of results. I imagine you will need to have each of your users assigned a username and context in iax.conf to allow tracking of their usage. Good luck! My issue ended up being that user type needs to be set as friend not peer or user. User only works on the computer version of iaxrpt. The newest version of Zopier doesn't seem to function now with AllStar. They changed the interface and now it acts like making a standard phone call which dials and waits for a connection. I have been unsuccessful in making a transmission using it dispite being registered with the server. Thanks for the help. -- Sent from my Android device with K-9 Mail. Please excuse my brevity.

node radio
by David Waters 15 Mar '18

in order to get my boefing 888 radio to work on my node I had to do the following/in Simpleusb.conf fileI added carrierfrom= usbI has to do this to this line ;ctcssfrom= no If you notice I hade to comment this line out. simply putting no did not workthe radio would not work until i commented the line out.My question is WHY.What am I missing that simply placing no in lind did not work. AND YER I shut down asterisk and restarted it I even rebooted node but didn't work until I commented line out. There has to be something someplace controlling this line or this line must be controlling some other file or line. Any help my brain is turning to mush. Dave AB3MZ

I have learned that sometimes the port needs to be added to the IP address. Works on one system without it, but not on another... never figured out why.... worth a try? radio wont work
by David Waters 15 Mar '18

Without knowing the full grimy details, I would say first check your logic for COS and PTT. Take just a little time to think it through. The logic you were using before may be different on the radio or the URI. Or both. If both the COS and PTT are reverse, you will never hear a thing squelch open or not. You will never send anything either. Try to set up a test with just the most basic options and no pl. just my thoughts, Not sure what you mean, sorry but i don't know much about this subject. However my original radio worked i just commented out simpleusb stuff to try new radio on usbradio. when it didn't i commented out usbradio stuff and uncommented simpleusb again. the original shoul have worked like before but it didn't it stuck in transmitt mode like the new one I tried.

New radio adapter compatible with AllStar Link - including hardware TX CTCSS logic control.
by Kevin Custer 15 Mar '18

15 Mar '18

Masters Communications has released a new USB radio adapter compatible with AllStar Link - the RA-42. This adapter is patterned after our popular RA-35, but it includes two extra control potentiometers for mechanically setting the TX audio levels, and it has a open collector logic output (sourced from either GPIO 4 or 8) intended for gating a hardware CTCSS encoder. This GPIO logic output also drives a LED which illuminates upon asserting the GPIO high. While the adapter is designed for TX CTCSS logic control, the logic output can be used for anything that an open collector NPN BJT can switch - even keying a relay. Any software can be used as long as it has the capability of toggling the GPIO of the CM119A. This logic is jumper enabled, and can be routed to pin 7 on the DB9 connector. Since there aren't enough pins on the DB9 to bring this function out to its own individual pin, its routed to the DB9 as a jumper selectable option. One position (JU3-A) puts the internal controls revert option to pin 7, while JU3-B puts the TX CTCSS logic to DB9 pin 7. If a user only wanted a LED as a status indicator, the jumper position is unimportant, as the yellow LED will illuminate no matter the position or existence of JU3. This function and logic output can be used for other things needing a buffered GPIO; it's not necessarily a TX CTCSS only function. Simply program your system to toggle either GPIO 8 [default] (or GPIO 4 by re-configuring the jumper), and the logic developed will follow. More can be seen by going to the web site and selecting the RA-42 link. The product is available immediately, and, as always, there's easy PayPal ordering. http://www.masterscommunications.com/ Please refresh your browser if you don't see the link. Questions or comments welcomed. Thanks, Kevin W3KKC

Radio connecte to allstar node
by David Waters 15 Mar '18

15 Mar '18

Hi and HelpI built an allstar node about 2 months ago. The node worked right away but the radio attached to it did not work. I messed with it for 3 weeks.I finally got it working by replacing the modified sound fob i bought online with a DMK URI interface. It was working great until yesterday. I decidec to upgrade to a better more powerful radio and now no radio will work.My original setup wasboefing BF888 hand held radioDMK URIUsing simpleusb. I decided to upgrade to an Alinco DR453 radio no tnc card installed.Same DMK URISwitched eberything over to usbradio as per the instructiondSet usbradio.config file as instructed carrierfrom= usbinvert ctcssfrom= noRadio went into constant transmitt mode. Everything we tried did not correct the problem. We decided to switch back to what was working, simpleusb with the boefing 888 radio. We put back every file the was it originally was and nor the 888 radio stays in constant transmitt.I finall after 14 hours dicided to diconect the radio and uri from the node. radio was overheating. So no we have a node that works except for no way to access it with a radio. My son has an echolink account and can dial in that way. I have an spp that will let me connect to my node and call up other nodes but my app will not let me talk. I only mention this to show that the node is working except for the radio part.I have searched till my computer overheated and found no help with my problem. everyone says as soon as i hool up thr uri and radio it will start working------------No it oesn't. I definately am missing something. Please help keep in mind I no nothing of the software or very little commands, everything i did to get node running was fron info off the internet. However the radio problen doesn"t show up online. DaveAB3MZ
