Ron, I like the idea of toggle between numbers and links. Indicator is planned. We are talking to a number of people with suggestions, all are welcome. There is no doubt the source will be published on github. Don't know when yet. The one issue I have with publishing the source is forks rather then a single source containing all the features. I have been working with Jim and the others for the last 8 years. There is a LOT more things to come. The one thing I've noticed over the last day is all communications have been direct. Android IAX client for AllStar

We have built a early beta version of a Android IAXRPT Client. This is a simple Android app that will connect with a AllStar Asterisk node. Think IAXRPT for Android. It has a PTT button! <https://www.dropbox.com/s/3ey9u0tvtdedgh4/AndroVoIP.apk?dl=0> This is a early build. There are a lot of feature to add and I'm sure bugs. The client only supports ulaw at this time. For backspace use the virtual keyboard. Press Send to send commands and node numbers. There is only one account supported. To create an account, tap the Account button, Tap IAX2 No Account defined to open the account dialog. Hostname: FQDN or IP address of the server. Port: UDP default is 4569 Username: matching iax.conf stanza Password: matching iax.conf stanza CallerID: this can be displayed in Allmon and the AllStar node status page. Caller Number: not used yet. Save: Press to save account information. Press back button to go to main screen. Enter node number and press send. PTT bar will be white while connected to node. MDC1200 Users?

Anyone using MDC1200 on their system? if so, what kind of neet configs if any do you have? I'm playing around with it and noticed while there is some of the ability to send some basic MDC commands, a bunch is missing. Anyone using the Stun/unstun functions? I made a PoC and have it working on my RTCM test node. Made a video of it here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MgdaXkD8Dtk I guess what's needed here would be some sort of telemetry output or send/ack function as when sending a request most radios will do it 1-3x until they see a response. I'd like to at least implement the radio check function and the remote monitor function, anyone have any interest in this? I dont have any GE equipment. I just asked the "Guru" on your behalf. >From my VERY limited experience with other people's GE "stuff", the transmitter, being phase modulated, has 2 inputs. One for "program audio" (amplified audio from the MIC) and one from the CTCSS ("Channel Guard" as it's known in the GE world, I believe) encoder. This requires you a use, say, the 'A' output for program audio and the 'B' output for CTCSS. In fact it was GE transmitting equipment that "inspired" us (me/Steve Henke) to implement the 2 independent outputs the way in which we did. Of course, the 'other' output (usually 'B') can also be used to drive a 'local speaker' or something of the sort, in a case where the 'main' (usually 'A') output is generating directly-modulate-able audio (pre-emphasized audio along with CTCSS). That's about all I know. Sorry. Or A going to one input and B going to a different input. How would you say your audio quality is. I get this strange intermittent. Clicking or popping sound. Almost like a heaphone or microphone being plugged into a board. It's soft but noticeable. Usually at the beginning of keyup or at the end of transmission. I noticed this one one repeater I setup. I then setup a second repeater also a mastr ii at a differnt location also using usbradio and I hear the exact same sound. I was wondering if you would be willing to share how you interfaced your equipment and possibly a copy of your usbradio.conf file. I'd like to rule out what is going on. Also maybe do you notice how clean your repeater audio is. Not many people compain about or even notice it but I do. RF Linked Radio to Allstar for Voting

We have finally located a site for a remote receiver that we want voted using Allstar. But it has to come to us over 900MHz first. I realize that I can put a RTCM on the receiving 900 at the transmitter end but will it vote? As it is I have never done a RF link and I am concerned with sending 4.2KHz audio (our area uses 4.2KHz max. deviation) over 900 that uses 2.5KHz audio. Do I pump it back up to 4.2KHz in the RTCM? Thanks.

Vox on Zoiper

Hi Bob - KK6ECM, Zoiper's very brief *99 tone bursts for the PTT never consistently got decoded on my node. Using vox mode and the mute button as you suggest solves that issue very nicely. First you define the DTMF command in rpt.conf in the functions stanza for the node in question: A matching command may already be defined. [functions_1998] 802 = cop,2 ; System enable 803 = cop,3 ; System disable [functions_1999] 902 = cop,2 ; System enable 903 = cop,3 ; System disable ...... Boy, am I bad at editing the subject line! Loren, Not sure how you want to "shut down" the node. You could disable the node with: rpt cmd 2154 cop 3 2154 where 2154 is the node to shut down. rpt cmd 2154 cop 2 2154 would enable said node.
