Fwd: remote base

I'm using remote base and seems that when I key up with my HT the remote base transmits and then receives, transits and then receives. I think it's in the settings, but I don't know. For the radio im using a tyt-9000. Does anyone have this problem?? mikrotik and Allstar registration problem

I have an Acid (40526) server with an rtcm for radio connection. The mikrotik router has 3 wan connections with the acid server connected to its lan ports as well as the rtcm. My problem is that the registration requests appear to go out an arbitrary wan port rather than the one I want it to use. I try to force it to use a particular wan by assigning a routing mark based on its ip and then have the desired wan with the same routing mark. This approach works for splitting workstations and servers among the wan's but the asterisk registration process ignores it. iax2 registration shows it as perceived as one of the other wans and is not consistent. traceroute from asterisk server shows it using the desired wan. This is all mostly over my payscale. Ross

Hi All, I've been monitoring my system, which consists of 4 RTCM's, and on occasion my Tx gets stuck after someone talks. It goes until it hits the time out timer. I'm viewing voter display x in Asterisk and there is no RTCM's selected and no RSSI shown for all clients so its not a stuck receiver. I have to do /etc/init.d/asterisk restart to kill the stuck PTT condition. Any thoughts on how I should troubleshoot this? Thx, Jesse

Crackle

On both my acid installations I have a crackle on the tail. I noticed this first on my first installation using usbradio. I have since installed a second node on a different repeater using usbradio and hear this same crackle. I have a third node using simpleusb and do not hear this crackle The only reason I think usbradio it's heard on the tail almost like the squelch trying to adjust itself to compensate for a static burst. Has anyone ever heard this before? Maybe I'm all wet with my usbradio theory. It never bothered me but a few people have noticed it too so I figured I would ask. RTCM Host LED Flashing

Hey All, I have 4 RTCM's setup, two are T/R sites (sites 1&2) and two are Rx only sites (sites 3&4) (Site 1 is the primary site). The systems been running for about 2 months now and one day we noticed that we lost the Tx side of site 2. The Host LED was flashing when we got there to troubleshoot, so we unplugging and re-plugging the network cable (causing the RTCM to reboot) which fixed the issue. Wondering what I can do to troubleshoot/debug this, and what are the conditions that cause the Host LED to flash? Thanks, Jesse

DTMF help

I use a single repeater in my group of repeaters as a hub. I Then use that "RF hub" as my conduit to the "outside of Maine" connection. What I'd like to do is enable on all of my repeaters that would disconnect or reconnect to my RF hub. Something simple like *12 / *13. That in turn would exucute *127086 and *327086. In my head I'm pretty sure in my head how to do it but unsure where to look to see an example of it. Any suggestions?
