Dual PL tones - one for local and one for link

Hello All, I am wanting to configure my node to have two PL tones where when one is used for local communications and the other goes out the link. I know some people were able to get it working and I was wondering if I can get some help. I remember that I could add the other PL tones separated by a comma. From what I understood, the first PL will send the audio out the link and the remaining PLs will be local. My Config: --running DIAL on a small form factor pc. ----using USBRadio ----DSP carrier and PL decode --Repeater is a Kenwood TKR-850 and configured with an open squelch to AllStar, no PL decode or encode. In my usbradio.conf txctcssdefault=100.0 rxctcssfreqs=100.0,88.5 txctcssfreqs=100.0,88.5 When I key up on either PL, the audio goes out the link. Can anyone verify this? Trust me, a GPS-discipline OCXO isn't enough in your overlap areas. Mine have 50+ ,miles between overlap zones (transmitters are 100+ miles apart) and you'll still hear garbled signals in the overlap. Keep in mind, public safety spends tens even hundreds of thousands of dollars to do this very same thing! Am I saying don't try it. Not even a little! Experiment and have fun! I'm just sharing my own experiences. I had the rare opportunity to speak with Jim on the phone a while back and this came up. If I could only remember, comprehend and apply even 25% of what we talked about I'd be light years ahead! Transition to two node system questions

Hi, I have a second URI that I want to bring up on my rpi2 server, and I have some questions. I am following the directions at: http://docs.allstarlink.org/drupal/node/139 , and there are some differences I want to ask about. The instructions say: 1. Edit the usbradio.conf file. Make a copy of the [usb] stanza in usbradio.conf. 2. Paste the copy just below the original stanza. 3. Rename the stanza name of the copy to [usb1] but I am actually seeing [usb12345] (node number). Should I just duplicate this format since there is no [usb0] and [usb1]? Also, in some of the files I see other info that I could duplicate that is not specified in the howto. For example, 1. Edit the extensions.conf file 2. Add the 5678 extension in the radio-secure context to call the rpt application using the new node number: [radio-secure] exten => 1234,1,rpt,1234 exten => 5678,1,rpt,5678 I have made the edits above, but should I also add the lines below also for my second node number? The howto doesn't say I should, but it looks like I might want to. [radio-secure-proxy] exten => 1234,1,rpt,1234|X exten => 5678,1,rpt,5678|X exten => _0X.,1,Goto(allstar-sys|${EXTEN:1}|1) Thanks, Doug KI7DQG
