I discovered why the remote base nodes won't work if someone copies/pastes from the guide... Notice how it's backwards... when setting up my remote base and helping Ross KC7RJK set up his remote base, I noticed this typo. Squelch Burst

Spifically, when I use COR from the radio, I have a squelch crash when a user unkeys. If I use squelch=dsp, then the crash is not there. But, the squelch action of the node receiver is not the best. I would really like to use COR but dislike the squelch burst. Is there a way to delay the audio and shut it off before the squelch closes? Like in a audio delay board for a repeater controller? Hi Ken, I occasionally have issues with EZStream taking-up 100% CPU time - I just kill it and it gets re-started by the app_rpt outstream command. No need to re-boot. Try that and see how you fare. David

Icom F510 / F610

Good afternoon from the UK, Has anyone installed an Icom F510 or F610 as a node radio? I managed to locate a 9 pin APC-617 aux connection and the following detail from Icom. Any help would be great Port definition as detailed. I have built the CM108 USB key fob and at present use a Motorola GM 380 PMR this works great but its nice to have a spare radio. streaming restart

How can I restart "ezstream" (app_rpt outstream command) without rebooting my system? It seems like my internet provider has taken to disconnecting my internet access for 1 minute each morning. That results in a source disconnect at my streaming host server (which is probably what they intend!). Restarting the host server does not reestablish the connection. Seems I have to restart it at my end. Thanks Ken

You get a long tail when you are using CTCSS and COR and the COR is continuously on (indicating carrier present). Asterisk operates only on the tone squelch, in that case. Something is wrong with your COS (COR) signal or related configuration. 73 Ken

'ACID Centos6 on a 1.8G, 4G ram, 120G ssd, 64 bit computer test results.' hile injecting a 1khz tone at 3khz into node #1 receiver, the waveform on node #2 transmitter has a ripple. Configured as a simplex node with a URI, connected to a second node, receivable with a service monitor, w Reverse this test and the waveform on node #1 transmitter is clean. Using the exact hardware, conducting the same test with ACID centos5, and Xipar centos6, the waveform is remains clean. I am not experienced at this, but I took a long shot and recompiled the software with different channel drivers. The results were the same. I haven't seen much chatter about ACID Centos6, so I thought commenting on the findings may spark some interest. Comments or Criticisms accepted gracefullyJK

Does anyone know what is up with the permalink command I have it setup as this: 76=ilink,12 ; Permanently connect specified link -- monitor only 77=ilink,13 ; Permanently connect specified link -- transceive When I do *7628344 from my private node 1001 it connects but will not stay when I disconnect all aka *71... also when I do a status on 28344 it says transceive... not the monitor only. Is there a diff iLink i should use to disconnect all 'non-permalink' links? 71=ilink,6 Thanks... Mark KC7DMF

Anyone happy with Beagleboard/URI combo?

Hello Group, While I see several threads discussing the possible combination of the Beagleboard/URI combo, I have yet to see anyone mention that the combination works, and that they are happy with it. I would like to add a simple node to one of the free ports on my controller, and I want to keep power consumption at a minimum. I want to avoid using the LOX because I have been assured that the URI has better audio. Is anyone using this combination? Are you happy with it? If there is indeed a thread where people mention that this combination works, I apologize in advance for not being able to find it. Thanks! -Paul
