Open Squelch Issue

Folks. Ive seem to run in to an issue with Open squelch. I help a friend of mine run/test his link and when someone connects to his echolink node he has an open squelch, Connecting Echolink to this node you can hear the constant static. Ive tried disabling the RX boost on usbradio.conf as well as Erxboost in rpt.conf but no luck Running radio tune rxnoise yields the following tune rxnoise maxtries=12, target=23000, tolerance=2750 tries=0, setting=2, meas=12 tries=1, setting=16, meas=61 tries=2, setting=16, meas=17 tries=3, setting=16, meas=18 tries=4, setting=16, meas=21 tries=5, setting=16, meas=24 tries=6, setting=16, meas=21 tries=7, setting=16, meas=19 tries=8, setting=16, meas=20 tries=9, setting=16, meas=19 tries=10, setting=16, meas=19 tries=11, setting=16, meas=20 DONE tries=12, setting=1000, meas=20, sqnoise=23 ERROR: RX INPUT ADJUST FAILED. =============================== radio tune rxsquelch radio tune rxsquelch Current Signal Strength is 998 Current Squelch setting is 600 Obviously I cannot set it above 999 so There we stand. Can anyone help? We have tried 3 different machines 2 Mini ITX boards and get same results. At the beginning it worked fine but this last two days It has been Hisssssssss all along. Searching on the archives is a pain in the rear as there is no search box to enter keywords. permit= echolink.conf

Is there anyway to increase the permit= list in echolink.conf to work with more than 25 or so stations? Once I get beyond 25 it does not want to allow beyond the first 25. Or is there a way to limit to just USA connections? I dont want to run a wide open echolink but have many friends i don't want to block need to have capacity of about 100 or so. Thought of trying Permit=W*,N*,A*,K* not sure if that would limit to just US callsigns or not. Any suggestions? Thanks Joe W8JTW Node 27891

Hi Steve, It's a long shot but its possible your PC may be having linux USB issues... I have had major problems with some intel motherboards using the onboard USB with linux.To check, get a cheap USB 2.0 pci card and try that in the PC with the uri plugged into the card. Even changing to another USB port on the same motherboard can help! Run the dmesg command and look for any USB error messages. If dmesg has no errors and your Allstar config is ok, then try a cheap USB 2.0 pci card Regards Anthony, VK2ACP

DMK URIx problem

Group, I think I am having a problem with a DMK URIx. I have a server with 2 of them connected. The 1st one is working fine. The 2nd one shows that it is receiving all the time. I have changed the carrierfrom= in usbradio.conf to no,usb,usbinvert with the same results. I have reboot the server. I have even unhooked the URIx from the radio. Every time I restart the server or do rpt restart same results. How to install FreePBX to ACID?

Hello, Is it possible to install a Webserver and FreePBX on server, where is installed ACID ? I have idea to make a voting repeater with RTCM boards and use other PBX functions, as conferences, IVR and more. If I really understand, ACID distro don't have Asterisk webserver and graphical interface. I am not a Linux guru... If it possible, could you help me with FreePBX install instuctions (I have a just new install from ACID) I need a private voting repeater network (1 server PC with Static IP, 3 voting receivers with RTCM boards, 1 or 2 Transmitters with RTCM boards, and any sip clients, softphone clients) Thank you!

Hello Andreas, I have something very similar for my TXFAN script. Any time the node radio is transmitting, the event happens. In my case, I touch a file on the ramdisk during transmit but it would be easy to instead turn on the GPIO. Does your system use a repeater controller? In other words, does local audio cause app_rpt to transmit? In my repeater, I have a controller that handles local audio and therefore app_rpt does not know when local users are keying. Hi Gang, I am using an allstar link repeater tied together with a second rpeater system nearby. I need a possibility to switch an uri gpio i/o pin to high always a station connects from outside (via internet) and i talking. if talking stops (no speech from outside via internet) the i/o ping must go low, if talking starts agein the i/o pin has to go high. No action on this pin (always low) if no one is connected from outside (there are then onky local users of the repeater). I hope somebody can help jhow to do this woth the event management subsystem.
