OK - I found my .htpasswd file was one directory up where it should have been - so now I can log onto the web page. But my allmon node (203) still will not talk to my asterisk node I keep getting this on the asterisk side: Connect attempt from '192.168.1.203' unable to authenticate [Oct 23 17:08:34] NOTICE[17668]: manager.c:1034 authenticate: 192.168.1.203 failed to authenticate as 'admin' on the web page it says Get node sawSta failed! the passwd in allmon is the same word as secret in the node. URI Fob will not go into PTT using Web Transceiver

Hello, I am able to connect to my AllStar node, 29313, but can not get the URIx fob to go into PTT using the Web Transceiver. It works OK locally using the radio-tune-menu application, and I have set the levels with a service monitor. I have ports 4569(UDP) and 22(TCP) forwarded to the IP address of the machine. I am running the CentOS distro downloaded from the AllStar website. Thanks for your help, John, N1CTF

Make sure the password file is called .htpasswd and the leading dot is required. iaxRPT - how are accounts stored?

Hi, I wanted to share my iaxrpt accounts list with some local amatuers to simplify their installations. I noted that on the iaxrpt download page it states that a new install or update of iaxrpt will not overwrite any existing accounts that are set up - so I guessed that they are stored somewhere else and not in a file in the program directory.... I cannot find out where this file is though! I event tried to look through the source code to see if I could find any indication there but no luck... If anyone can shed any light on where the account info for iaxrpt is kept I would be most grateful! Best 73, Matt G4RKY

trying allmon for the first time. Instructions say to modify manager.conf but don't say what you actually have to do. anyway, I took a shot at it and I am getting this on the asterisk node: [Oct 21 16:58:04] NOTICE[4403]: manager.c:1034 authenticate: 192.168.1.203 failed to authenticate as 'admin' == Connect attempt from '192.168.1.203' unable to authenticate yes I called the user 'admin' any help? also - to reload the manager.conf file, do I have to restart asterisk, or is there a smoother way?
