First duplex repeater - question about duplexor/power amp

Is there any reason why the power amp cannot be placed between the duplexor and antenna? My repeater will be 2 modular 1 watt radio modules, a 20W capable 6 cavity duplexor and a Mirage power amp.If the amp is after the duplexor then cool, if not then a more expensive duplexor will be required... how to setup automated autopatch

Greetings i want to setup the repeater so that individuals can auto-patch call me when they need to get a hold of me or the other repeater owner.. here is what i have so far tell me what i am missing so far it just brings up the dial tone but does not call the extensions or the phone numbers.. 920=autopatchup,context=to-callcentric,noct=1,farenddisconnect=1,dial,103 921=autopatchup,context=to-callcentric,noct=1,farenddisconnect=1,dial,104 922=autopatchup,context=to-callcentric,noct=1,farenddisconnect=1,dial,personal phone number 923=autopatchup,context=to-callcentric,noct=1,farenddisconnect=1,dial,personal phone number Also i would some how like to automate disconnect a node and reconnect a node once autopatch is terminated any thought on how to do this? Motorola CDM750 as Voted Receivers

I picked up a couple on eBay thinking that they would be great. They program as 20/25KHz, which makes them better here in Los Angeles and we can vote them from two locations as we’d like. It looks like they will interface into a RTCM very easily with the 16/20 pin accessory port plug. But now the bad news. The software I have is CPS 2.0.600 and dammit if it is the newer narrow band only. Slightly OT I agree but I wonder if someone can tell me which version of CPS will program for ham radio? I have updated the install to include the post install scripts used configure a node. My testing says it works, but the proof is in the pudding. If you have downloaded the ISO in the last month, all you have to do is start a fresh install. After the second reboot, you can login as root. You can login as root on either the console or via ssh on port 22. root password is debian. You will be prompted to configure the system starting with setting the root password. questions and suggestions are welcome. managing QSO recordings

The application from KF7DRV for managing all those recorded files is called Node Shark and is still around http://hkeithw.powweb.com/NodeShark/index.html On a related topic: I once read that, if you record the frequency transient that the guy's FM radio makes on key up, you can use that as evidence he was the source of the offending transmission - should you find him and there is any "discussion". Supposedly the exact way a rig's PLL locks up is almost as unique as a fingerprint. You would need to receive it on an SSB receiver and record the audio beat node on some high quality recorder (which could be a personal computer of course). You would set the receiver for USB and set it perhaps 1 kHz below the channel frequency. Of course he might use a crystal controlled rig ... that would make him pretty unique as well.... Hi. We have someone on the repeater doing multiple small tx on a random pattern (this can last 10 minute at a time) so all we ear is the telemetry of the repeater and it kind of get on the nerve of many. We did lower the audio level of the telemetry were we almost dont ear it, yet the bozo continu on tx ing short (less then a second) ptt.. We are building some DDDF ( digital Doppler direction finder) that will monitor the input freq of our 2 repeater and will logs the bearing of at least 4 of them on a central server with time stamps.. I need a way to extract from asterisk when someone do make a lots of short ptt and compare them to the logs from our DDDF. that way after some data collection we will see if the offender is on the move or mostly at the same place. and at the same time we will see if it is random or if there is some kind of pattern in time so that we will be able to find the offender and finally be done with it.. this been going on for years.. Anyone can point me ia way to extract such data from asterisk ? or find a way with action command to put that kind of stuff in a file? Thanks
