Help Please I'm using a handset radio to control a remote repeater the problem I'm having is when the handset releases it hears the output from the repeater and goes in to Transmit release and transmit cycle that won't stop, is there a setting in the rpt.conf that would cure this Thanks for any help Dave Kd9bvf

Hello Rodger. I had the same problem with the WX and had to poke around all files in supermon until I resolved the problem. All you have to do is edit the global.inc file. The last lines say: // Show weather conditions and temperature for Zip code area $LOCALZIP = "SKMD"; Mine is SKMD, which corresponds to my nearest airpot. Find the airport abreviation for your nearest one, save the file and restart from the browser. You should now have the correct WX info. 73 de Guillermo - HK4KM Message: 1 Date: Wed, 06 Mar 2019 11:42:15 +1300 From: Rodger Hanson <rodger_hanson(a)slingshot.co.nz> To: app_rpt-users(a)lists.allstarlink.org Subject: [App_rpt-users] Supermon Weather Settings Message-ID: <375054ef34d555249e9bb36e7822d2cd(a)slingshot.co.nz> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII; format=flowed Hello All I have my AllStar up and running, setup supermon, and found that the weather settings seem to be limited to USA, which perhaps is a bit short sighted since there are people all over using Allstar & supermon. Is there a way to put in my weather "zip code" for Auckland, New Zealand? I just could find any document about setting up outside the USA. Any help with this would be appreciated. Otherwise, the Allstar from Hamvoip works well, after sorting out my power problem. Re-posting of my message to the group which was accidentally formatted using HTML, my apologies. Greetings to the group, I've extensively reviewed the Allstar Link documentation but can't find a definitive answer to my question. Can Allstar be used with an interface such as the Rigblaster Nomic (PTT) in conjunction with an built in PC soundcard? Here is a link to the interface I am referring to: http://www.westmountainradio.com/pdf/nomicman4.pdf Any information is greatly appreciated. Thanks to the group for all the informative technical information provided on the list. Regards, R. Hanssen

Limey Unix

Does anyone know how to save the network configuration in Limey Linux? My node is currently set up as static IP and I want to change it to DHCP. I run net setup but when I reboot, it loses it all. I assume there is a command that will save it to flash memory. Does anyone know what that is? Thanks

Audio stream active before PTT
by jcarl.griffith＠gmail.com 04 Mar '19

I was wondering if there's a way to delay PTT for 200 milliseconds (but not the audio stream) so that my ALC can properly level out before anything is heard on the repeater? Another option I was thinking about would to have a tone or white noise or anything really keep the ALC busy and leveled during times of non-transmit. Anyone have an idea? John N7OKN

I am trying to use the phone portal and I get a busy tone when connecting to my node. What do I have set wrong? I have it turn on in the Allstar setup. And I have port 4569 set to my node. Mike N8XYM
