Got 2 repeater linked together at the same site One msf5000 UHF one tkr750 VHF If I listen to the UHF repeater the audio is nice and have low and high sound (in the limit of 3hz of course)No mather if the receiving repeater is the VHF or UHF. I even asked a friend to switch from VHF to UHF on his radio and I could not detect wich was the source beside from the courtasy tone and the end if his TX. But on the VHF side the audio is High pitch no bass.. here is my config in usbsound.conf for the TKR750 [usb28739] ; VHF hdwtype=0 rxboost=1txboost=1rxctcssrelax=1txctcssdefault=103.5rxctcssfreqs=103.5txctcssfreqs=103.5;rxctcssoverride=0carrierfrom=usbinvertctcssfrom=dsprxdemod=flattxprelim=notxlimonly=notxtoctype=notonetxmixa=voicetxmixb=toneinvertptt=0duplex=1rxondelay=1rxnoisefiltype=0eeprom=0 Is there a something obvious that I miss? CTCSS enable/disable

First, I am using RPI2 for the controller but I think this is more a generic question than a specific RPI2 question. I can set "ctcssfrom=usb" in simpleusb.conf and then I have to use tone to make the controller receive commands or key the repeater. After changing simpleusb.conf I issued the command 'asterisk -rx "rpt reload"'. This would not make ctcss be required to key the repeater. I had to 'astres.sh' before it would require tone to key the repeater. Not sure if the 'asterisk -rx "rpt reload"' should have worked or there is a bug somewhere? What I am actually trying to be able to do is to enable/disable Rx CTCSS from dtmf commands. I have configured a function for the cop=56(Rx CTCSS enable) and cop=57(Rx CTCSS disable) commands. When I enter the dtmf for the cop=56 function the controller talks back "rx pl ena", so I know the function is working. But I can still access the repeater without a CTCSS tone. Can this be done? Allstar activity at Dayton

I saw that the Dayton Hamvention is using Echolink and IRLP to link the repeaters coming into the Dayton Hamvention. Talking to the node via Zoiper

I have Zoiper up an running on my iPad, and can send DTMF codes, to which the node responds, and I can hear the TM. However, when I talk into the mic on the iPad, the node does not receive it. I have the codecs in Zoiper matched to the allow=ulaw, etc, in the stanza in iax.conf. What am I missing that is required to send audio? I read somewhere to use the "Mute" on Zoiper so all audio is not sent to the node (reverse PTT of sorts?). Thanks, Bob kk6ecm

Connecting to two nodes in monitor

Last night I was connected to two nodes in monitor, the win system and the wan system because I wanted to listen only to the traffic. Will the two networks hear each other because the wan system disconnected me.

I've tried googling it but my terminology must not be right. If I remote ssh into someone's node to help them how do I make it some the owner of the node can see what I am doing on their screen too.
